Hector doing the presser with Nige this afternoon. please log in to view this image "It's been a learning experience for me here so far. I've learnt an awful lot about myself and the Championship. We've had some tough times, but that's what this league is like. It's a tough, tough division but we haven't been consistent enough." "I don't feel as though I've performed to what I'm capable of during my time here. I've haven't found a consistent level this season. It's been frustrating but I've been working hard in training to put things and that hard work continues." "We're not safe yet. We've got to keep winning games. There's six to play and we want to pick up as many points as possible. It's QPR up next for us on Saturday, which will be another tough test for us." "Our next three games are all winnable, but it's all about us being consistent and producing performances that are good enough to win games. It's a big week for us and we're determined to get the results we need." please log in to view this image "In terms of injuries, we're good. There are a few niggles here and there but training has been good and everyone has performed well and put themselves forward to be involved." "Harry Wilson has trained today and looked fresh. He did well away with Wales during the international break in China, but looked a little jaded upon his return which is why I took the chance to give him a deserved break in midweek." "I was delighted with our performances against Aston Villa and Wolves. It's three games in the space of a week now - but our focus is always firmly on the next challenge, which is QPR at home at the weekend." "QPR come here in good form, so it will be a challenging game. We know we've got to be bang at it if we want to pick up some more points. We know what we've got to do. We can't just turn up and think we're going to win the game. We have to perform." "Consistency in our performances is what we're after between now and the end of the season. We've got six games to go and I want to win all six of them." The end.
David Burns @bbcburnsy Interesting last line from Nigel Adkins at his @HullCity presser. "I'll have the final say on recruitment". He says he has a competitive budget to challenge next season.
A competitive budget? Sorry Nige, he's lying in your face. That just isn't going to happen. You're going to need a whole new team and you'll have to do it on a shoestring. FACT!
If there's one team i hope we give a good stuffing( football wise)too it's this lot , come on city don't let me down 4-1 will do
These ****ers are no great shakes away, Think they’ve only won a cpl all season Got a few draws though...
DQPR sounds better than 'dramas', even before this thread was started I saw one of them slagging off Hull.
I'm sure someone with a great memory will find the date that Escab mentioned a 'competitive budget'.....
Posted on HCFF Facebook. A really good read.... QPR did a good interview prior to the away game I recall... https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/47860/
Surely the “next challenge” to “focus” on is the warm up. If we can manage to get a few balls into the box, a couple of shots on target, don’t try to control the uncontrollables & escape injury free we can then start to focus on DQPR.
We will beat DQPR. And that will be enough and we can start planning for next season in the Championship.
