Robbo doing the presser with Mick this morning. please log in to view this image “It’s very tight at the bottom and one win can lift you up a couple of places in the table. Obviously we look to win every game.” “The manager will be looking for a reaction from the boys after the Middlesbrough defeat and hopefully we can give him one.” “We have always believed we have enough to stay up. We’ll have good periods in the season and hopefully that starts on Saturday.” “Hopefully we can put together a decent run of results in the coming games and move ourselves away from the bottom of the table.” Andrew Robertson hopes to get his long term future at #hcafc sorted out in January. He wants inital contract talks to be revived. please log in to view this image "We have looked at things and hope to be more progressive." “We know we aren’t scoring a lot of goals, as are some other teams in this division, and we have to improve on that.“ "We do prepare well. The players understand their roles. "Sometimes concentration is lacking. "We have to try to be in a position where one mistake doesn’t cost you. "We need to be in control of games." On criticism of negative approach... He said: "Negativity plays a part at this club whenever it can. "We have to try to change that mentality. "My mood’s OK. It’s part of the job you take on. "I enjoy the good days and when you have a result you don’t want, it does take a few days to get over the disappointments. "But you need that positivity." On player contracts... "The players are on contract. "Some contracts are due for renewal. "They have people who take care of that for them and they talk to our people. "When there’s something to talk about or to announce, it will be done. "I want the players to concentrate on playing football. "They get paid very well but all footballers want a little bit more." On transfers... "We are looking at players, but so are other clubs. "My owner is in discussions with people. "It’s a case of wait and see. "We’re in the process of it. We have some targets, hopefully we can get them over the line. "If we can get them done in early January, that’s great but it might be that we have to wait until later in the month."
Please Mick don't say again we all need to do our jobs, you and the team are doing your job coaching and playing the game, you need to do your jobs better.
I have to say our manager just doesn't fill me with confidence .. he just doesn't get that his tactics provide a certain amount of negativity in the way he sets them up .. square pegs into square holes Micky boy and let them have a go at least instead of fearing the opposition every week
Jak Dawson Harry Davies Elmo.....................................Robertson Snodgrass Meyler Clucas Bowen Diamonde We have no right back so why play 4 at the back when Elmo is at his best as a wing back. I'll get slated for putting Meyler in but at least he brings a bit of bite to midfield. Bowen cause no choice for 2 up top unless Hernandez is available? Snodgrass in a free/roaming role
Have we no half decent young rightback? Elmos abysmal there Bowen has to start after boro Id look at promoting edwards too youthful enthusiasm and energy would be great after boro Mason, henrikesen need a timeout Im not a fan of huddlestone but maybe needs a little run in place of those whose confidence has gone Play people in correct positions please phelan Lets become a high pressing attacking team anybody can score if the chqnces created are good enough and you certainly get more chance of a goal with two up top As long as we have a go im not arsed if we leak goals along the way lets go for it Fortune favours the brave
I cant see us buying anyone unless we sell hernandez The sky tv cash paid for the last lot of signings and that was the last payment Ideally villa cough a load up for hernandez and mcgregor and we use it for ulloa and rhodes possibly
Lenihan's a decent right back, but I'm not sure he's fully over his long term injury yet, we seem reluctant to play him.
It's a strange one that.he looks a decent player to me.in a position we need someone.yet he can't even make the bench
Reading this article on the beeb about the 3-4-3 formation at Chelsea.... looking at what we have I think we should at least try it....http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38240386 Maguire could do the job Luiz does....he's got great feet and can actually pass a ball. Plus it gets Snods and Henriksen forward to help Dio. Livermore's passing at Boro was shocking going forward so stick to breaking it up. ......................Jak........................ ...Davies....Maguire....Dawson.... Elmo....Livers.....Mason....Robbo ...Snodds......Dio......Henriksen....
People are saying they want square pegs in square holes but also want 2 up front. You see how that's not possible right?
I see him walking out of the stadium after each game. I always pass him on the stairs and he's walking with a bit of a limp. I'd agree that he wasn't over his injury yet.
"We try to win every game". They are doing a good job of masking that in my eyes. As Fraser would say, Doomed, we're all doomed!
