Mbokani is back in the squad, and he's one more player for me to consider. Silva on injuries - No injury problems. We have enough already. Only 2 days to prepare. There is a few small injuries, but is not importnat to talk about this. If there is something big tomorrow you will see. Silva on United - It gives us confidence for the next game sure. We play against a grewat team with a great coach on Saturday. If you want to take points for us, we need to fight and play better than them. Liverpool always play well but we're confident. Silva on Salibur - We wait for FIFA decision, when we know I will let you know. Silva on the difficult task ahead - I know what we need to improve, but we don't have time to change many things at this moment, we have to do that step by step. It is important, I give confidence to the squad and the supporters an with them we are stronger. The atmosphere is better. Evandro up next (through an interpreter)... The team is feeling great after Man U, everybody knew the difficulties ahead of it and we feel great after. We got a lot of confidence from the last game and obviously playing at home we feel like we can go one better. Everybody likes to watch the Premier League and I am no exception. Everybody is extremely happy with the coach and I think that reflects in the results. He is a very tactical coach and he addresses the opponent well so that helps. My experience of thr PL so far is fantastic, I am trying my best to adapt as soon as I can.
He's only been here 2 minutes but I'm finding it difficult not to have complete faith in Marco. He just seems to be a real, proper tactical manager that can make a team play how he wants.
Indeed. It's not suprising. When against these 'big' teams he makes out like we have a chance, that we can match them. Too often we've heard that little ol Hull will huff and puff but we're only a small club yadda yadda yadda. None of this now.
They certainly do appear to be playing for him, and as Walter says they are going out with the mind set that we can win the game. Too often under SB and MP we went out with negative thoughts, keep it tight for the first 20 minutes, which inevitably meant we sat back and invited pressure on the back line.
Interesting selection dilemma tomorrow. Some senior players are going to have to miss out of the matchday squad, for what seems like the first time in months. Presumably the starting 11 will be close to unchanged, but if the two new lads and Mbokani come in, who drops out of the 18? Boweb, Diomande and Maloney perhaps?
I think Bowen will probably drop out, although it's harsh on the lad. Can't work out who else. Diomande deffo needs a 'rest' in my opinion.
I'm curious who is going to play on the right? We could go 3 at the back or have Omar as RM in front of Meyler?
use to drive me mad when SB would give it were "little old Hull a very deprived working class area" speech (Que cloth caps and whippets)
On Salibur - waiting for the FIFA decision. That tells me it's not just us being late with paperwork else it would never have got past national FA's. Editio: just thought this is a discussion better off on the transfer thread and posted it there. Feel free to delete
"If there is something big tomorrow you will see." I thought that was an interesting line. Wonder what he meant by it.
Presumably he meant in terms of injuries. If there is a bad injury we'll see because the player won't be in the line up.
It gives me absolute confidence in him when he says things like; "I know what we need to improve, but we don't have time to change many things at this moment, we have to do that step by step." It shows he's a technical manager who works on problems like a good mechanic would fix an engine. You compare that to the Mancs brothers who never addressed even the most obvious flaws in the team because they were too clueless to fix them.
he's talking about the injuries so I'm guessing hes just not letting the opposition know anything about his team selection earlier then he has too
I love him too, I worry that the position he's inherited may be too much to pull back from though, I hope not as i'd like to see him stay on after 6 months, but if we go down, no chance.
