Will Keane doing the presser with Nige this afternoon. please log in to view this image “It was an amazing feeling last weekend. To play a couple of games for the U23s was great and then to come on for a few minutes against Sunderland was brilliant. I'm hungry for more minutes now." “I feared the worst when I got the injury given I'd done exactly the same thing before. The staff here have been great with me and have broken the rehab up into little sections for me. My family have been there too which has been a big help.” “The last few games we've been creating a few chances so I'd back myself to score. I'm a striker who can play upfront on their own or with a partner so I'm confident I can come back and contribute when I can.” “Stepping up to the first team is obviously different to U23 games so it might take me a good few games to get up to speed. I'll be ready for when the manager wants me because I know there is a lot of competition with Dio, Nouha and Fraizer.” “If we can get a win then we can take that into Tuesday and hopefully it breeds a bit of momentum. We all know the FA Cup is the biggest cup competition in the world so we all look forward to the game.” please log in to view this image “The thing with McKenna is ongoing. It's been well documented we're looking at him but it's ongoing because he's an Aberdeen player. He's a player we really like but we've got to respect he's an Aberdeen player. We're working an extremely hard to bring people in.” “There is usually a domino effect with transfers were clubs don't let people out until they bring people in. That's why most deals usually get done late in this window.” “I've highlighted a left footed centre-half and a quick wide player. We've got plenty of irons in the fire at the moment and obviously we'd like more so we'll see what happens over the next week.” “Grosicki trained today and he'll be in the squad tomorrow. We've got games coming up and it might be sensible not to risk Larsson who is on nine bookings. Keane will be involved again so I have plenty of options.” “We've got three games this week so we're not going to have the same eleven for all three games. We know we have to rely on having a good squad and have players pushing for starts.” “Forest are bringing 4,000 people. It's a tenner a ticket so I'm hoping the fans will come down to the KCOM and enjoy a cup tie. There's nothing like the FA Cup and it's a game we're looking forward to.” The end
just a bit ? - he's that bad he's even starting to make Meyler look good - bearing in mind it Ehab sold Robertson and we got Stewart for a similar deal it's probably one of the ****test swaps ever
It wasn't a swap, Stewart cost about a third of what we sold Robertson for (though we obviously sold Robertson far too cheap).
Knowing Ehab's knowledge of football, very little, the decision to buy Stewart was probably based on his name sounded Scottish, and Robbo is good, so he must be also good.
NG will bring in Marshall, Clark, Mazuch, Stewart, Diomande, Henricksen, Dicko. Keane will get 30 minutes when we are 2-0 down around the 60th minute mark and play two up top. Final score 0-3
With David Marshall already a confirmed starter as he looks to back-up his clean sheet in the third round, the likes of Ondrej Mazuch and Will Keane are also in contention for a starting place while Head Coach Nigel Adkins is hopeful that Kamil Grosicki will soon be available after injury. “Will Keane’s been out for 14 months but managed to get a bit of game time against Sunderland last weekend, so he’s going to be pushing for some involvement against Nottingham Forest,” Adkins told Tigers TV. “There’s opportunities for players to come back. Ondrej Mazuch got injured against Leeds United a month ago and he was such a dominant force in that game. He’s trained well this week so he comes into contention for the weekend. “It’s not just about 11 players, we need the whole squad contributing. Competition for places is so important. “With Kamil, we’ll have to wait and see. He did a bit more outside yesterday morning. He’s been out for a period of time now and we want to get him back involved, but we’ll have to wait and see.” Max Clark, Markus Henriksen, Adama Diomande and Kevin Stewart are amongst others pushing for inclusion after starting in the third round win against Blackburn Rovers earlier this month. https://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/articles/2018/201718-nottingham-forest-cup-h-team-news/
Robertson went for £8 + £2 million - Stewart was £4 + £4 million - that's a swap almost - undersold and overpaid - business genius
We'll get the £10m for Robertson, Stewart was £3.5m upfront and none of the add-on's will be triggered.
It seems that all players had one year extension options in their contracts, but Hernandez and Dawson have obviously had theirs triggered ahead of this season... David Burns @bbcburnsy One thing @TheNigelAdkins suggested @HullCity is there are only 2 players who are completely out of contract in summer. He says the club have options on the rest. Before you ask he wouldn't say which 2, but Hernandez will be one. #hcafc
I don’t believe Stewart cost anything like that. Same way I don’t think Kingsley cost anywhere near what we were told.
