Better so far second half with Doyle on for McGuiness, reverted to back 4, and Colwill for Uche, who quite frankly does a passable impression of a donkey.

Much more possession and efforts on goal.

Need to score 1 very soon if we are to nick a point.

Could have been much worse after a woeful first half.

McGuiness having a poor end to the season. Needs to regain his confidence in the summer.

We’ve learnt a lot today
  • Morison made a mistake in going 3 at the back just to match up Hull after doing well at Reading with a back 4
  • Whilst I agree with making changes, 7 was just too much
  • As usual an appalling first half by City
  • Philips doesn’t look a first choice keeper
  • Denham looks a better prospect than McGuinness
  • Colwill needs to play every game not just now and then
  • Harris is not really good enough at this level
  • We already knew that Vaulks and Flint aren’t good enough for this league and demonstrated palpably why they shouldn’t get new contracts

No argument with any of that Nin.

In fact with Connolly to return from a very successful Gas loan we have 2 fine young cb's.

McGuiness clearly has potential but needs careful guidance as he has a tendency to rush in like a headless chicken. Off field Hudson should be the man to help him.

With Hudson and Purse at the club there's no shortage of mentors for young CBs at the club.
