They are imposing an eye watering mind boggling 200% increase in ticket prices http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4351445/200-on-a-ticket-for-a-disabled-fan-Go-to-Hull.html Oh and I have spotted the typo in the headline (financial) - So if we can concentrate on the facts
Not really, our owners are being sensible with their money, granted it's quite appauling their increasing the disabled season tickets by that much, but it means we're getting an increase on profit, your owners may be really wealthy but each year your massive wage bill means you have more losses than us
Tbh, why should disabled fans pay less than anyone else, they are watching the same game after all. If i was a Hull fan before this season, i would have been tempted to get a wheelchair at those prices.
That is a very good point AKCJ's additionally very few people go to the football match on their own so they could well be accompanied by an non-disabled full fee paying fan
Would it be better for clubs to knock down the prices and fill the stadium. There no point have 8000 empty seats People still pay for shirts, pies, pints, programmes, parking etc. Sometimes less is more
Clubs should say for example If we sell 10000 season tickets they are £400 each, we sell 15000 they are £350 each, we sell 20000 they are £300 each. That way it would encourage more people to go and it will sell more and make more money
We've learned from Bates' policies that charging more for tickets doesn't work. Cheaper tickets mean happier fans, a better atmosphere and more fans in the ground to buy pies, beer, merchandise etc.
The thing is - Just how many people purchased tickets under this consession? I can't imagine its many so you have to ask is the gain worth hitting the red top nationals and sending out the message that you are hitting the disabled for a 200% increase in gaining admission to the stadium - It makes outsiders think there are troubles, even if there aren't any
About time, the disabled have had it easy for too long, its about time they got a good kicking . next it should be OAP's the bastards.. If you want to buy my spare wheelchair make me an offer its surplus to requirements now...I just got back from my five mile run and my new mobility scooter has arrived...
Football prices are a joke at the best of times, but most disabled persons CAN´T work so why should they pay the same prices ? If your going to complain about the disabled then kids should pay the same as an adult & I´m thinking all those with 2 or 3 kids are saying "**** that" HCFC should be ashamed of it´s self imo. If I owned LCFC I´d charge the disabled 3 quid, kids a fiver, OAP´s a tenner & the rest 20. I think we´d start to fill KPS bit by bit & then when we play a team near the bottom mid-week have a deal where the disabled & kids pay a quid. Just another i.e of football being taken away from the fans. I´d like them all to say "**** you" then the clubs would get less fans & less money to go with it.
Err Charlie..............................Its a bit of a tongue in cheek piss take. you see what with Hull charging more for disabl..............ah forget it, if I have to explain it, its not worth it
The same sort of thing happened here with Student tickets. The club scrapped student prices and they are complaining its unfair. Theres 2 ways of looking at that one but the disabled 1 is clearly just plain wrong
when i broke my foot i was watchinf sport for around £6 or something ridiculous, my father was over the moon! We said at the time we couldnt believe it was so cheap/
Theres a tip for anyone there Want to watch City for practically nothing. Break your foot. Its worth it
Warning people he meant Leicester City not Hull City, the Allams would go Barmy (and I meant to say Barmy not Barmby)
There are 200 disabled fans, it will generate £15k and it has nothing to do with money, it's just bringing us in line with other clubs, as barely any club offers 70-80% discounts to disabled supporters any more. You yourselves offer just a £20 discount on disabled season ticket holders, so long as they pay £5 membership to the disabled supporters club, maybe we should be commended for giving disabled fans massive price concession for so many seasons, when other clubs didn't? All the ticket prices have been reviewed for next season and overall they're very fair, the new young kids £1 a game season tickets will cost far more than the disabled ticket changes and are a great move for the future support of the club.
