Well well well, 2nd defeat of the season, and this one was against a poor Macclesfield team. Sat back and camped in there own half, City couldn't break them down. No one creative stepped up to the plate to try and make something for City.

Basso didn't have to do much, but when he was called upon he was awful, first goal he came steaming out of his goal to then run back mid, to then attempt to save an not so worrying shot which ended up going underneath him as was the second goal.

Danny East did however put in a shift, and didn't put his name to shame, motoring up and down the right hand side, played good passes, looked really quick, got stuck in, and even had more shots on goal than anyone else in the city team (that says it all)

James Chester and Hobbs - Its worrying when Emile Sinclair managers to run through both your first choice centre halfs to score two goals. To be fair to the player he was really quick, strong and was lucky with his goals. Shouldn't have been allowed to get anywhere near our goal.

Andy Dawson, played just as he always has, strong in every tackle looked to play down the wing to Pusic who was never there for his to do his typical Kroyff turn, to only pass it back to Hobbs, who would pass it to Chester, who would pass it back to Hobbs etc etc etc...

Jamie Devitt, I suppose he tried to pull a few strings here and there, took on a player or too, but never stayed wide enough to feed Simmo and Fryatt with anything to score with. Came close from a curling shot but no real threat.

McKenna played well, got around the pitch well spreading passes to left and right, got stuck in and put a few ok balls into the box. Looks up a lot to pass to someone moving but no one seems to want to move.

Harper, same old same old. Looked better than last season though to be fair.

Pusic, was looking forward to seeing how he was, tall and athletic, but never got on the ball. I can only recall him once actually getting the ball and when he did, he beat his man and put a ball in the box, only Fryatt to hit straight at a defender. After watching him, he didnt look interested and not worth the contract we have given him, I hope to be proven wrong.

Fryatt and Simpson, no movement, no confidence, no shooting, no passing, no nothing. Just didn't look bothered at all, and I dont know what it is. To be fair to them, they didn't get any good service, but they don't have any movement to get any service. Its embarrassing when our strikers dont even want to shoot. Simmo stayed at Arsenal too long and decides to walk the ball in the back of then net and he can't even do that. Fryatt had a touch like a brick wall and tried taking on his man everytime and failing.

all in all, good ticket prices but never got the gates, 4,900 people, its disgrace. But, I wish I hadn't gone after that, after 9 years of going to the KC, that was the worst performance I've seen.

We need one player thats going to make us tick, and we all know who that is. Kiss and make up, if we wanna be in the mix we need our best players playing.

Don't agree with the booing, or the 'Get Pearson out' rubbarb, and just get on with it!

I thought we had very little width at all tonight. East refused to get down the line from fullback and actually offer us a way out of playing the tippy tappy ****e we tried to play in the middle. By that i mean we tried to pass it around in a congested area. The Macclesfield back 4 and midfielders lapped it up and it was just booted away or passed all the way back to the defenders or Basso. Dawson tried to get down the wing but his crosses were lacking and inevitably he was tackled. If either of our wingers did run down the line then it was usually because we were looking to play the speculative diagonal long ball. Which, suprise suprise, never came off.

Simmo and Fryatt look so out of touch it's unbelievable. They don't have any confidence between them and it's odd for that to happen at the start of the season. Fryatt (as you said) tried too hard in beating his man in a congested area and to no avail. His shots were poor also. Simpson couldn't score in a brothel. He had a sitter in the second half and he put it wide. The crowd aren't helping either. I really hope they can turn it around, but just can't see it.

The less said about Harper, Devitt and McKenna the better. All three were ****e in my opinion.

Set pieces were as bad as always. They never looked like beating the wall or the first man. Macclesfield got them away easily. In fact their keeper hardly had much too do and Fryatt and Simpson were in their centre halves back pockets all game.

Best chant of the night- you should have gone to the riot. The only thing that brought a smile to my face.

The strikers are just a joke at the moment, Fryatt isn't shooting when one on one and he's making us look ****ing silly. If he was missing then fair enough but he's not even shooting it's just taking the piss.
