Now that Oscar's in the bag I was surprised to read that RA is still eyeballs out to get Hulk on the payroll! The Times article says we are still poles apart on the price but our owner is determined to have his way! Go, go, Roman. --go get him!
Can't see this happening, think he is one hell of a player but where would we possibly fit all these players in??!?!
Coolhand --I cant remember going into a new season with so big a change to the side , since Tommy Doc replaced the 1st team with the Juniors in 1962!
For what he would cost you, do you seriously believe he would be worth it? If your mad Russian oligarch owner does buy him and he turns out to be a flop, guess which poor bastard will take the blame? Yep, you guessed it. RDM.
Whoa this is seriously getting scary now. Though I must ask will failure to win either one of the prem or cl be deemed a failure in your opinion.
No, failure to win one major trophy will be a disappointment but a squad still needs time to gel and they are all very very young players so plenty of time.
It will happen though. Di Matteo has an any circumstance termination option at the end of this year. Guardiola wants a new job? Ambramovich will jump to him. Let's hope RDM can win the league to keep the job then lads?
Do you think he'll be given that? I simply cannot see it, myself. I think, as a minimum, RDM has got to finish no lower than 3rd in the league, and get to the quarter finals of the CL. If he can achieve both of those, he may just be given a second full year in charge. But it's a tall order for him, and I think the Russian knows that. Personally, I hope he does well. I really do.
I think Guardiola is a man of tradition and culture, I don't think he'd pick Chelsea (no offence, just a feeling) after all that's went on between the sides. United though, maybe. Anyone, Oscar played very well last night, 2 assists. Who do you think is leaving the Bridge this summer?
No manager worth his salt would have the balls to take that job after Ferguson especially with the state that club is in
