**** me I know he's good but 100 million Euros ??

Hulk could sign for Chelsea, says agent

Agent of FC Porto superstar Hulk has hinted that his client might sign for English Premier League giants Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window. Teodoro Fonseca has revealed that nothing in football is impossible and if a move were to arise then the only problem would be the fee required to lure the Brazilian.

Selecao International, Hulk, is arguably one of the most demanded players in Europe at the moment. The forward brings bags of pace, quality and eye for goal, which has won over many clubs in the past few seasons.

From the likes of Anzhi Makhachkala to Paris Saint-Germain, many have tried to acquire the services of the former Tokyo Verdy man but all have failed to match Porto’s €100 million asking price.

Backed by the billions of their Russian and Qatari owners, Anzhi and PSG have been seeking the talented attacker in order to bolster their front-line for quite some time now. The Wild Division were the ones who got closest to the Portistas requirements, but even their bid was rejected by the Portuguese champions.

Only a few sides in the world boast the necessary financial muscle to prise Hulk out of Estadio do Dragao, one of them is Chelsea.

Roman Abramovich’s men have been linked with the Brazilian International ever since the appointment of Andre Villas-Boas at the helm, who led FC Porto to a quadruple in the 2010/2011 season.

While the club did not follow up their interest during the summer, this time around they are quite serious as their domestic campaign has been derailed with the lack of quality strikers. Fernando Torres has been deemed as an expensive flop and age has finally caught up with Didier Drogba.

Due to their dire need, it is expected that the Blues will splash the cash in the upcoming window and according to Hulk’s agent; he may make the switch to Stamford Bridge if a fee can be negotiated with the Dragons.

Speaking to reporters, the representative said Villas-Boas had an excellent working relationship with his client and they would both be willing to resume their partnership in London.

"In all transfer windows, clubs will appear with offers. Andre [Villas Boas] knows Hulk very well and has a very good relationship with him. Hulk is also fond of Andre and had a fantastic time with him at Porto.”

He also added that in this sport nothing was impossible and a transfer could materialize if Chelsea were willing to pay the necessary amount to land the 25-year-old.

"In football everything is possible. Hulk would work with heart and soul at Chelsea, FC Porto or any other team, because he has always liked the coach. If they are willing to spend €100 million then it is a question that relates to both the two clubs,” Teodoro Fonseca was quoted as saying.

With Hulk looking to cement his place in the National team, playing in the UEFA Champions League is imperative for him and he will be able to achieve that if he signs for Chelsea.

Well, he is a beast and would tear apart Premier League defences with ease. He is such an amazing player but 100mil Euros is huge. He may be worth it to them, but realistically he should be 30mil.

lol **** paying that, what's that 80million? I reckon they'd accept 40million, they just put them buy out clauses to try and inflate the prices e.g. falcao signed a contract and i'm sure his buy out clause was the same then Athletico paid something like 37million and ended up getting him, pissed me off because reports were we were chasing him then him signing a contract seemed to rule it out then they went and sold him !! They just do it to inflate the price

Anzhi were going to get him after bidding 40mil but then they inflated the price to 80mil. <laugh> Ah Porto are ridiculous.

We'd probably have to pay more than anyone else for any of their players aswell because we took their manager lol ( I know we paid them for him but it wouldn't surprise me if the owner/chairman is still a bit bitter and angry that he left for us )

When AVB won the league in Portugal with FC Porto Hulk scored 23 league goals and had 13 assists playing on the right wing that season. That is impressive. If Hulk came to Chelsea he would suit the premier league because he is physically strong. He is called Hulk because of his muscular physique and powerful pressence on the field, Not only that he has skill and pace. Think Porto would accept a £40-50million bid for him though. That €100million buy out clause is just to put buying clubs off.

You already have a brilliant player playing from the right and cutting in with his left foot.

Would be great to have both of them though as they can both play right wing or through the middle, hulks also very powerful and creative so he could be useful as a striker or right winger

  10. Hm. It's a nice thought, guys, but I cannot help thinking that you'll need the Fantastic Four and Spiderman to save your season.

All joking aside, he'd be a good catch, but £80 million is a lot of money to pay, and I must say that I think you are all in cloud-cuckoo land if you think will part with him for half that.

Why wouldn't porto, as i said in a previous post they put something liike a 100million euro or 80million euro buy out clause in Falcaos contract but they accepted a 35/37million from athletico for him, they just do it to inflate the price

  12. Do you know how much longer he has to go on his contract with Porto?

If he was approaching his final year, I could understand your optimism about getting him cheap - and £40 million would be cheap for someone of his abilities. But I simply cannot see it, if he has two or three years left. For a start, £ity will offer double what ever you offer, if only to prevent you getting him, so anything you do offer will have to be way above market value.

He has about 5 years, in the summer Porto made Falcao sign a new 5 year contract mainly due to the fact they could raise the buyout clause, they raised it to whatever it was i'm sure it was 80 or 100 milion euros then 2 weeks later they sold him to Athletico for 37million pounds odd, I know what your saying mate but i'm just saying just because his contracted till 2016 and with a high buyout clause it isn't all as it seems mainly due to the falcao case

But Torres is a world-class striker, i'd still rather have Torres over Hulk, well basing it on Chelsea then i'd rather have Hulk due to he suits our team but at a team like Arsenal,Spurs,Madrid,Barca,Bayern i'd have torres all-day

I don't get these buy out clauses anyway. They are always set at a stupid figure and the players are sold for 'normal' prices anyway

I don't get some of them either, think the plan is say theres a buy-out clause for 30million, say they renew the contract and raise it to say 60million there more likely to get more than 30 because they can just say well the buy out clause is 60

  18. Buy-out clauses are there to stop teams doing what Barca did to Arsenal over Fabregas - getting the player to break his contract cheaply.
