Has Hughes been heard from or seen since his departure? I would be very interested in his perspective as to why things had gone so horribly wrong. He was a broken man towards the end and I suspect was probably glad to be put out of his misery.
I have no inside knowledge, but I would imagine the terms of his gardening leave are that he's not allowed to spill any beans while he's collecting his pay from us
The ONLY thing i do like about Hughes, is that he has kept his mouth shut and face out of the papers since he was sacked..... Ashamed ? yes; embarassed? probably!
Funny you should write this now Ciarrai, I been wondering the same. Haven't heard of one quote from him.
Prob right Col, but you'd usually hear something from a close friend, wife or fellow manager etc....been suprisingly (& pleasantly) absent !
The only reason he has kept him mouth shut is because he is still trying to count all of his termination pay and runs into difficulty when he runs out of fingers. So he's counting his lot in bundles of nine............. that's because the remaining finger is jammed up his fooking ar.se ............ with his fooking head.
I fecking hope he shaved his head and went to a Buddhist temple to beg forgiveness for the stupid little worthless git that he is and self-impose himself from managing ever again. Cos he's just not a very good manager. May be lower leagues, certainly not PL quality. Because if he hasn't shaved his head he's obviously finding it hard to walk around without being recognized so obviously he must have done something to his image to not even be seen in the papers on his holiday with our money.
This, also there's 2 jobs in the championship he could apply for and try and get the team in charge promoted.
Thats cool GMTH, I used to love HalfManHalfBiscuit. The Trumpton Riots EP was good but this was my favourite back in the day Can't we let sleeping Hughes's lie? I am pretending in true Bobby Ewing style that it was all just a bad dream
Good shout GMTH, my favorite Biscuits song - "****ing Hell, it's Fred Titmus". But the greatest band to understand the football supporter sensibility - the mighty I Ludicrous. Palace fans, sadly.
