    Saying that; knowing our abject misfortune it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Hughes were to lead Stoke on some sort of blazing campaign and a top 10 finish. It would be just typical...

    Let's hope he can persuade the Stoke board to employ Zamora and (say) another 11 or so of his former colleagues.

    Zamora, Granero, Cesar, Bosingtwat, Hoilett etc..... perhaps they can all spend next season "gelling" at Stoke

    Great maybe he'd like to repeat some of his purchases, let's see we have Cesar, Boswinga, Mbia, Granero, Park, Zamora, AJ, Cisse, Diakite, Hoilet etc maybe we could do a bulk deal.

    Nice to see Stoke showing some 'ambition' - what are the odds that Hughes' first signing will be through that legendary agent of self-interest Kia Joorabchian?

    Genuinely feel sorry for the Stoke fans - the board might get wet knickers at the prospect of being 'interviewed' by the egomaniacal MH, but in the end the fans will be the ones with their pants around their ankles...

    Why feel sorry for them though? They have just got rid of a guy (who we can all agree is annoying but....) who gave them 7 years of stability while banking a shed load of money. This sounds like a job for Mark Hughes if there ever has been one!
