Was down the bush this week (wearing my 70's top) on what could only be described as a spring day! anyway after having lunch with few friends and my cousin we went along to the club shop to spend a few quid on goodies. during the short stroll to LR we got talking to a couple of R's fans who live a stones throw from the ground and have been ST holders for years. they told us that the day before they watched the hoops training and said the players looked relaxed and happy with MH and his staff and that all the hype in the papers is rubbish about MH fearing the axe. all they kept saying was how unlucky we have been and that in their opinion he will turn it around, I just laughed. anyway into the club shop we go and all the staff were saying the same thing, no one seemed stressed at our possion in the league! one of the girls said to us 'don't worry he'll turn it around' at this point in walked Rufus who was doing some PR stuff for the club, my cousin started to ask him questions about our plight and what he thought, his answer knocked me back a bit. in his words he said MH is in for the long haul and that he's got all the backing of the club and then said by January we'll be mid table! he also said that QPR WILL! bring in a towering centre half in Jan and another striker, when I qustioned him on names he said, Mark wanted these two before the window closed and just missed out, however he wont this time as everything is in place, thats all he said to us. so I thought I'd share this with you all.......
Mmm interesting eddie the plot thickens, but what if it isn't turned round by christmas? & are still down there? he had all summer to get these players in so what has changed? i'd like to see our fortunes changed over coming weeks but i'll wait till after saturday, could do with an ugly win rather than we are playing well but get f--k all out of the games.
I hope all the optimism you highlight throughout the club starts to pay dividends. We are all fed up with the talk, we want to see the walk and put actions behind the words. After all the talk may just as well be fiction. What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall or spy-cam in the dressing room before the match on Saturday. That will confirm the talk or put it to bed once and for all. Does anyone really believe Hughes has the confidence & backing of the players?
Just seen this quote from Mark Bowen - delusional or fortune teller? And Bowen issued a rallying call to Rangers supporters, saying: “We would say to every fan out there ‘don’t lose faith’, because we haven’t. We are fully committed to the job we’ve got to do, and we’ll start tomorrow, believe me.”
It's a big game tomorrow. We as a club need the 3 points badly. Before we get all negative and depressed, please can we as supporters all get behind the players for the 90 minutes. If the result goes against us, then by all means return to the doom and gloom, Hughes out etc. I am sure if we lose tomorrow, we will all make our feelings known and everybody at the club will be under no illusions what is required to progress. ie. a change of manager. During the game, PLEASE support the players 100%. Cheers You R's.
OK ............... I'll play along, I'm in ............... MH and team (as always) have my full total support for all important clash against the Saints.
I won't necessarily be supporting Mark Hughes but I will be supporting the players and the team. Our plight is so serious, I don't care about individuals anymore.
Interesting post, Eddie, but if we lose tomorrow, nothing will persuade me we don't have a managerial CRISIS. The media will be all over LR like vultures
True or not once the fansbase turns on a manager a Chairman would have to be very resolute to keep backing him in the face of protests / the media etc etc Its a results business. End of
reading to have problems & haven't won yet but all the media etc seem to spotlight us as always probably becuse the money we spent, & so it shows we're more high profile than the fake hoops. but at the end of the day i'll be there & hoping for 3pts & backing the lads & hughes in hoping to turn it around, i don't boo the team off & never will.
I havent heard a single Hughes song yet have heard plenty of TF songs, that says it all to me. The fans never wanted him to begin with and if we dont like him, whos to say the players havent got similar feelings.
As it's Friday... Fernandez whoa oh oh oh Fernandez whoa oh oh oh You picked a dud its true And he's left us in the poo Fernandez whoa oh oh oh...
