QPR manager Mark Hughes will check with Anton Ferdinand before deciding whether to play him in their FA Cup tie with Chelsea later this month. The 26-year-old helped his side set up the mouth-watering tie with their west London rivals by defeating then MK Dons 1-0 in their third round replay. The Hoops won the league clash between the sides at Loftus Road, but the match is remembered for allegations that racist bigot John Terry aimed abuse at Ferdinand. Terry has always denied the allegations. As you would expect the low-life scum would. Asked whether he had any concerns about playing Ferdinand against the most hated team in the land... Chelsea, Hughes said: 'No. 'Obviously I will speak with all the players leading into the game and get an understanding of where they are in their mind in terms of the mentality that you need to go into that game. 'It is a challenging game and a big test for us, but knowing Anton and having seen him over the years I am quite sure he will want to be involved in that game. 'It is a big game anyway because they are scum and they are near neighbours. Skipper: Ferdinand captained QPR in their third round replay win over MK Dons 'We will take it when it presents itself but our focus is very much on the weekend against Wigan. 'It is a huge game for us and we need to improve on what we have improved today and arguably we have to be better than what we were on Sunday as well to win the game. But not that much aginst Chelsea as they are really **** this season, and I expect them to end up winning **** 'all. ' 'At least i've now arrived at a major West London Club with realistic ambitions. Chelsea are a complete joke.' ' I mean, who would spend £50 million on a **** scouse reject? ' 'I've more talent in my little toe than he has in his whole body! ' Hughes added. 'There is a big challenge ahead of us but we are ready for it. It is an exciting time for the club and I am happy to be here.' 'I'm just glad to be away from that sad little tourist club in SW6. When that cock-munch Al-Fayed stuck that statue of a *****phile up, I had to make my excuses and leave. To be honest, I had no bigger ambition of moving to a bigger club. I just needed to get away from there... It was a complete ****ing freak show.' ' If i'm honest, I would have gone to Darlington than be at ****ing Foolham!' ' Now I'm at a real club, and we can build on the solid foundations left by Sir Neil.' ' With Tony's and Amit's backing, I can see us being the new Barca within seven years.' 'Everybody is working towards the same end.' ' I just hope we smash those ****ers from Fulham Broadway' he added.
I reckon that (if they had any sense whatsoever) they would leave Terry out for this one, in case he says something that might prejudice his case..... .... such as "sorry"....
It will totally overshadow the game to be honest.the media will be whipping it up too.maybe the clubs should talk to each other and agree to leave anton and terry out of the game.after all in any other walk of life you wouldnt spend a couple of hours in the company of someone you are just about to face in court.
can't see either players opting out of playing. Just hope that Torres still hasn't found his scoring boots plus Samba and maybe Alex have joined. Would even put a quid on Alex to get the only goal IF playing for the Superhoops
Point of info. This thread and OP have been raised as an issue on the moderator board. Whilst spoof articles are part of in many ways, we cannot attribute content to an existing publication, so I have deleted the name of the newspaper the spoof was based on. As for the mod board, I have asked them how they would mod this thread, since it was brought up by a mod from another board without consulting with Goldhawk or me. My only real concern comes from my own laziness. It's bound to be used to justify more Chelsea wums on here and make life that much more difficult for Goldie and me to contain. Since moderation is about you all as members, I'd appreciate your thoughts. At the end of the day this board is about reflecting the will of its members in conjunction with that of site management.
Under the circumstances I think Anton would want to play, as would Terry, but the latter may well sit this one out. With the trial a few days after the game would Chelski want to risk any on pitch flare ups between the two? Without Terry Chelski could still beat us but I would rather Anton plays as we look better with him than without. I'd love to be excited about the game but I'm more worried about our poor league form at the moment.
