He says he hasn't been approached nor approached anyone. This implies the terms were wrong, but why should we believe anyone?

Well it's not the same as Roy. He's been a decent manager, at least since Christmas, but let's go forward and find someone Fulhamish.

Hopefully fulham's management can find someone soon ... twice in one year. This blows.

Hughes has stated that he has neither been approached or approached a club to be their manager.
That means he has lied to us when he said only last week, 'he is happy to be at Fulham, Fulham is a club that has a great set-up, players and staff,
they are the type of club it is a pleasure to work at'.

So a few weeks later he leaves the club saying no one has approached him, but he's just resigning, with no job to goto !!!!!

I'm much more angry about this then when Hodgson left; managing Liverpool is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. That I can understand and forgive. But leaving Fulham for Villa? That's doesn't make sense at all - Villa's a lateral move.

Rocky, I'm not being funny but who are you going to find? Fulham are not going to attract a manager in the class of say Ancelloti or even Martin Oneil at the moment. I think it's a huge blow for you and even though i'm a spurs supporter i'm actually gutted for you. You had a great period with ROy and then he left which could of messed up your club then Mark Hughes comes in and got the ball rolling eventually and finished the season really well....... Now you lose Hughes!! Gutting!!!

    Liverpool fan in peace.

I'm a bit surprised at this. I know he was the bookies favourite but he has done an excellent job at Fulham. 8th in the league and European football next season. If he does go to Villa, I think it would be a sideways step. Many of Villa's top players (Young and Downing) are rumoured to be leaving and he would have a massive re-building job.

Good luck in finding a new manager. <ok>

Lesson of the Day - NEVER trust the Welsh. They should be used exclusively as targets for bits of rotten fruit. Erm, but not when he comes back to the Cottage next season, we're far too sophisticated for any of that. Seriously though, we have to get this right now... it's feeling like make or break time. Please not Dave Jones, Avram Grant and the like, or I will cry.

    O'Neill?
    Jol?
    McClaren?

Thank God Allardyce is off the market.

True, but Rafa is also free and could be a dark horse. MAF has a track record of springing surprises. I'd quite like Rafa.

Yeah well, predicted this 6 weeks ago. But hey, think of all the wages we'll save on the hanger's on. My money's on Mclaren, unless my earlier jibe of Benitez takes MO's fancy.

I feel very let down by Hughes. Used us to move onto so called bigger clubs. I never saw him embrace the fans once. Anyone see him flip the hand when we said "Hughes give us awave" - he was never interested. FACT.

Gale says it best on SSN, Hughes will miss Fulham. I wont miss him.
