What ever you do don't let Mark "Sparkless" Hughes anywhere near your football team. From what I witnessed with my own eyes at QPR he was totally clueless. He said at the start of the season. "Whilst im at this football club never again will we be in a relegation scrap. Result 4pts from the first 14 games and he chose and signed a load of has been Mercenaries himself.
The funny thing was Arry recognised you have too many mercenaries So what did he do? Sign more Samba 100K a week and god knows what you offered Remy
Two papers running two different views - both relying on a 'source' - I think this will run until the club issue a statement - if the owners are firmly behind Nigel it is time they said so publicly - whilst they don't speculation will continue that they are 'testing the water' elsewhere. To answer the thread - Lennon definitely has a more impressive record - albeit in a 'smaller pond'
Sorry, have I missed something? Has someone a branch of the media suggested Pearson is going? The Mercury, Mirror, Star and Sky have all said he's staying. People can speculate as much as they like. As long as Pearson has been given assurances and can get on with his job, that's all that matters. The owners don't need to officially announce anything. There's never been any serious cause to believe he was going except for wishful thinking by some and guessing by a cynical media.
The mercury mirror star and sky have all said Nigel is staying, the only ones who haven't said Nigel is staying are the owners...ouch
Just wondering whether the owners are holding back with a statement for two reasons. 1. If they come public now and get rid of np then his followers may not renew season tickets 2. If they come out and say he is staying, then a lot won't renew either..sort of a catch 22
They need to publically back Nige if he's their man. They don't need to arrange a press conference or write a statement. Just let us know.
Despite not wanting NP here next season, we have renewed our season tickets. Could only see a very few people taking a decision not to renew cos of the manager. We support our football club through thick and thin, whether we agree with decisions made or not. One thing is for sure, I will be a LCFC supporter long after NP goes whoever replaces him, and whatever **** football we play, and whenever that day arrives.
The owners dont need to make a statement When clubs make the dreaded vote of confidence it normal means your about to get the sack
There's a diference between ending speculation with 'the vote of confidence' and just saying something along the lines of "We're looking forward to Nigel leading the side in the upcoming season".
The owners arent going to release statements every 5 mins to please everyone. If they was going to get rid of Nigel he would have gone by now They deserve alot of credit for how they have stuck by Nigel
If they're going to stick by him then they need to shut the rumours up. They don't deserve credit for doing nothing IMO.
