Instead of bringing in faces (which he did at QPR) he is not bringing any new faces! I have a bad feeling for next season
I think we will struggle but I thought that who ever was in charge for the coming season. I think if we look positively there are a few players that pulis froze out that are now back in the picture who are hopefully looking to prove a point. Im excited for the coming season as I always am and will leave judgement on the manager till after a few games and once the window is shut Fingers crossed for the new season
We dont need many new faces in my opinion and the few he has bought in look quality. If he plays the right players in the right position it will be like having 6 new players.
Fully agree with this Ric!! What we don't know is WHAT MH is doing with the (squad) in training. He has already said. "Pennant is back" = like signing a very good right winger again. Two fullbacks who have quality and WILL be used by MH not forgetting Palacios, Adam and Co who were "frozen out" by the vindictive T**T in the cap. Nicky is right WHY should Mr Coates shell out more money? Someone please tell me need desperately to improve? We HAD the player's last season but!!!! I almost forgot Mark Wilson who, if played in midfield is a massive improvement on the **** that was given game after game last season. Whitehead NOT good enough, Whelan I don't think is good enough, neither was Rory etc. CHIN up lads and KTF. No one said it would be easy, it never is. BUT it's going to be a lot more exciting being a Stoke fan under Hughes. That I am sure of.
If this is really true, he will have you playing exciting football, winning games, not being a dull negative prick, averaging more than a goal a game and not getting you relegated. Hughes and excitement to not go together.
I think all the players will improve under the new management system, Pulis shackled them into what he wanted, now they will have some freedom to show what they can do. The new fullbacks look good and Pennant especially has something to prove, we have a new striker come January and may yet sign other players, for me we are in better shape than at any time under the capped prat.
Arry said he thought he could keep QPR up, when M Hughes was there you were still up but now you are down. Go figure and having read your comment, I guess you never went to QPR when we played there. YOU LOST and if we were dull, QPR must have been bloody woeful. Let's hope you don't do a Coventry and drop further into the brown stuff.
