Hughes: I can't do any more for QPR By Paul Warburton Nov 15 2012 WHATEVER happens to Mark Hughes on Saturday â the QPR manager insists he could not have done more to change the fortunes of the club. Even though he teeters on the brink of the bullet after going 12 Premier League games without a win, and desperately needs a victory over fellow strugglers Southampton â it wonât have anything to do with the preparation of the team. Sparky prides himself on checking the minutest detail before a game, usually starting with a long hard mental plan at 6.30am when he walks the dogs. He said: âSometimes you can be undermined if you donât do things correctly on a daily basis and thatâs one of my strengths and my staff that nothing is left to chance. Road Hug âEverything is thought about and addressed with the intention of winning Premier League games. âSo if people start looking at what we do on a daily, weekly basis, or over a period of time in terms of preparation, looking for reasons why we are not winning games they wonât find any, because we prepare better than any.â http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/lo...ny-more-for-qpr-82029-32238899/#ixzz2CHsMiriD
Shall we not merge at the risk of being accused of overly using Hughes' own words to highlight his incompetence and therefore be proclaimed the prophets of doom and rage that do not allow free speech?
Put your comments on this one, keep up Andy! http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...nd-why-it-s-not-working?p=3770244#post3770244
Hes not liking the job and now wants to leave, he wont resign because he wants the payoff. There can be no other explanation for comments like this unless hes gone senile.
This reeks of desperation!!, its as though he is saying that he cannot do ánymore and basically he has run out of ideas, well if that is the case and Tone Deaf reads this in the same context, the next time he takes his dog for a walk don´t bother to come back!!. I really want the boys to win tomorrow as it will be my first game watching QPR in the premiership but if Hughes starts taking all the plaudits it will be a hollow victory.
Hes so arrogant that he thinks hes always right. A good manager will make a 1st half sub or even bring on all 3 subs at HT if it isnt working. Einstiens definition of insanity applies very well to Hughes. "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Doest that just sum the man up?
Unbelievable words from Hughes....quite, quite unbelievable. He just doesn't get it, he really doesn't!
"or over a period of time in terms of preparation" sorry Mr Hughes, but this little statement right here is so full of fallacies I dont know where to begin......preparation starts from the ground up at a football club.....but when it comes to winning on the pitch, one of the first preparations a manager should do over the summer is strengthen in areas that need strengthening...key areas. Most here would agree that it was abundantly clear that we needed more defenders and a decent striker.....yet you went out of your way to buy more midfielders than would be needed for 3 or 4 Premierships teams. This has come back to bite you with players getting injured or banned and not a single decent bit of cover in the correct areas and a defence that changes week by week. Playing a CDM as a centre back (allthough admitedly he can play there quite well) and buying players that are in the twighlight of their career, which genrally means their passion for the game is on its way out. Hughes you DO NOT know how to prepare for Premiership football.....thinking about the game at 6.30am while walking your dogs means naff all old chap, when its taken you over 10 games to even get the formation correct. You've failed and Tony Fernandes is failing to,for every minute that you remain manager. We may win vs Southampton, but you will remain a loser.
Bowen said the same thing on qpr podcast after the reading game. Along the lines of 'we tell players to do certain things a thousand times during the week but what can you do if they forget on match day?'. I actually felt sorry for him because there was so much desperation in the tone of his voice. They've absolutely run out of ideas and have no idea what to do next. The situation is irreversible. Sad state of affairs really.
Indeed....even when the basic formation is correct.....his team selection and player choice/positions are wrong. I do feel sorry for him, as his bright playing career has been massively tarnished by his inabilty to manage!
I honestly believe he has slow onset Alzheimers or some mental condition, he can't string a sentence together without umming and erring. He is totally clueless as a football manager, no personality, and is one boring ****.
