Bentley eyed by London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, 13:27, May 7, 2012 QPR boss Mark Hughes is being linked with a move for Tottenham's out of favour forward David Bentley at the end of the season. The R's transfer plans will not be able to be finalized until the season comes to an end and they know whether they are up or down, if they are up then Hughes will be given a sizable transfer budget to spend. Bentley is almost a forgotten man at Spurs and appears to have little if any future at White Hart Lane although he is expected to be fit for the start of next season after injury. Hughes had the player when he was in charge at Blackburn and the two could link up again next but everything depends on the R's winning their battle with the drop. *** This can't be real. I don't want to sound picky but I'm sure we'll be looking for better players than Bentley. ***
