Why have the Press not interviewed everyone's favourite referee? The man who bottled the 1999 'shame' game when he failed to book Neil McCann for a horrendous tackle on Stephane Mahe, which resulted in Mahe being sent off (couldn't make it up) and then he booked McCann to cover his backside! Dallas was often portrayed by the media as a neutral and a man who was unfairly treated by Celtic fans. Yes, it was dreadful he was struck by a coin. But on many occasions his blatant bias against Celtic and for Rangers could have led to serious crowd trouble a la 1980. Of course Dallas' true self was blown when he forwarded rather sick jokes about the Papal Visit outing him as a bigot. To be fair I think 60,000 people at Paradise could have probably told you that. So where is Hugh these days? Has he not started a Save Our Gers (SOG) campaign over at UEFA>?
The jokes Dallas fowarded about the pope were neither sick or particularly offensive. We managed to hook him by the balls because of these words even though most of us couldn't give a flying ****. Poetic justice.
Mahe both bookings that day were " for getting fouled" McCann got his reward years later when playing for Hearts when he tried to injure one of our players Thompson ! but ended up doing himself ,was out for nearly a year with his injury from that day. Who can ever forget the penalty Dallas invented that day .
