Seems we spent half of last season talking about our next game as "huge ". Well this one really is, cause if we balls this up we've gone from 3rd to 7th in one fell swoop. That's what I call huge.
so will we when we beat you on the 30th I'm not really that confident, nothing wrong with harmless banter though. Hoping Villa beat you tomorrow for obvious reasons even though I do like Chelsea. who you got on Boxing Day?
We have Norwich on Boxing Day. Tough time for us at the moment but hopefully we can pull out a few decent performances and push on. A win over your lot would be a great result as you're flying right now. I don't think I've seen an Everton side be as consistent as this for a long time. You thoroughly desere a top four finish this year I just hope it's not at our expense!
villa always seem to give us a hard time and they have rediscovered a bit of form, huge game indeed, need a huge performance
Eyeballs out for 3 points today! Would have helped if Kalou had been available, but the Leeds result must have done team spirit a lot of good!
If we lose this game we will still have one game in hand and only 7th by 1 point by 4 teams above us, 7th just sounds scary but no big deal. Would like to see Luiz move forward though as he still scares the **** out of me a little by being at the back. I will be going back home for a few hours to watch todays game in peace (as currently staying with my daughter and (very excited noisy) grandchildren for the xmas period so not taking the chance of missing any of it. My son will be joining me as always so hopefully a good game and good win to be back up top (ish) for Christmas period.
No disrespect but I'm less confident about the Norwich game than I am Everton. Fellaini out is a massive plus and we've done well against the bigger clubs this season, those kind of games take care of themselves. Norwich in the other hand are different. You have to ask yourself questions when Norwich are beating Arsenal, Spurs and Man Utd at home. I was pleased with WBA winning as it ends their run and hopefully they'll be less confident. The next 4 games are essential. We need 10/12 minimum
We beat United at home, Tottenham at home and drew with Arsenal at home (with a draw away to City). But it's won't be straight forward as you're due a good result against us. We've lost 2 games out of our last 26 in the league now.
I don't expect to beat you. I think it's nailed on for a draw. Our record at Goodison has been poor since the turn of the decade. I just see Norwich as more of a Banana skin simply as we'll be expected to win, whereas against Everton we won't.
