Either, it's the nature of this team that everybody goes out and plays a full game and fights for every ball. At least we have this in the side now, players who give all for the team. Of course anyone can have a bad day and with a defender that can be costly, but mostly these two will do a job for us.
McNugget for me too, but I'm more concerned about who will wear the captains armband. We need a strong leader not someone low on confidence.
Mcnaughton simply because back four look a bit too inexperienced without him -Bellers seems the obvious choice as captain, but I'd go for Gunnar cos in the circumstances we'd be better of with a more defensive player as skipper
Not much in it, but with Nugent recovering from a dead leg I'd go for Kev. If it was Big Ben out I may have gone for Nugent with Hudson along side him. With 'brough low on results and confidence it might be an opportunity for Kev to get forward, something he is better at than Connoly. Kev and Noone on the right, Taylor and Conway on the right pulling the game wide to create space for Bellamy and Campbell. Mason and Kimbo on for the last 20 just to rub it in.
Kev at rb if only to keep a balance in the defence. His defending has always been good (missed header for Peterboro's second the exception). He also gets forward much better than Connolly but cannot pass or cross to save his life. Mind you Connolly's passing etc is not great either and he does not get forward down the line as well as Kev. I can't see Noone starting at Boro. MM will use Cowie or Smith on the right. Anyone know why Smith was out at Wolves? Noone could well come back v. Derby when we will be more attack minded.
No room for two left footed left backs in the starting lineup. Unless Taylor is injured, Lappin won't get a game this season (until we're up at least).
