Meyler & Livermore in midfield for me! poor again tonight from huddlestone,no momentum to run forward and grab the game by the scruff of the neck! .....didnt pick arsenal runs up, leave me questioning what he brings....sat for large amounts of the game in his own half but never quite broke the play up, quinn seemed to run the midfield!

Terrible, Quinn out shone him by a country mile to be honest, he must have covered at least four times more ground than Thud. Passing backwards constantly, terrible marking. Just looks slow and lethargic and off the pace.

If Bullard wasted whatever talent he had, and he DID have talent, then Huddlestone is doing exactly the same thing, maybe in a different way but the end result will be the same!

Quinn was excellent throughout, Huddlestone has gone backwards for whatever reason this season

Agreed. If Brucey keeps him in after that non performance then there's something going badly wrong. Thudd could have been the equal of any of the Arsenal players if he had the desire, unfortunately his desire is questionable!

he did look fat yes, think meyler & livermore would of done a much better job tonight, although I thought Quinn outplayed him tonight! ...ben arfa got kicked out for not getting stuck in and involved in the game....yet I bet huddlestone starts against WBA!

I also seem to think shearer isn't a big fan of huddlestone, for the comments he made on MOTD ! don't think he'll of changed his opinion watching him tonight!

Slow, cumbersome, didn't track back, got caught in possession a number of times, needs to grab games by the scruff of the neck but just isn't doing it, quite rightly people have already pointed out quinn, but brady at least had the desire to try and make something hapoen, even ince looked better then thudd tonight

Quinn was excellent Huddlestone needed forwards ahead of him who made runs. I thought Midfield/defence did ok except for a couple of mistakes, how ever the forward line was non existent doing absolutely nothing, i would not have liked to have been in our midfield with these forwards ahead of me, they didn't hold the ball up or make runs, it was to easy for Arsenals defence

forward lines are sometimes called finishers, what the hell were they meant to finish from tonight. midfield was poor, and always in, with huddlestone involved!

I've been looking at Hamilton Accies' attacking midfielder Anthony Andreu. He's very mobile gets assists and tellingly has scored 12 in 18 in the league. Granted this is in Scottish premier, but he could surely be worthy of consideration. Apparently Palace and Burnley are said to be interested. Hudd at the moment is just so frustrating.

would be a great player(Huddleston] his down fall is his lack of pace.

I agree that Sagbo, and particularly Aluko, looked gash today, but excuses can't be made for Huddlestone. Great players MAKE things happen, Tom never made anything happen, plus Hernandez never stopped moving when he came on and I can't recall Thudd finding him with a pass once.

At least Brucey got one thing right, Aluko was the first player to be withdrawn!

That is exactly what I said he looks have put a stone on since he last played, he cannot afford to put weight on like that.

Can't agree there when forwards get the ball they should at least hold the ball up Do you think they did?

by the way not defending Huddlestone he certainly wasn't the player of last season and seems to pass more sidewards then forward but like i say for me the forward line was totally non existent today

That's because we're short on PL standard forwards, our only two are Hernandez and Jelavic, and of those only Jelavic is capable of holding the ball up. However none of that alters the fact that if Livermore and/or Meyler were on the pitch today they'd have been making lung bursting runs forward, they wouldn't simply rely on forwards holding the ball up for them, they'd at least attempt to make something happen.

Sorry but Huddlestone was totally pathetic today, he tried to hide by playing deep when, especially at 1-0 down, we needed some magic from him, instead he went missing. I hope that he also goes missing against WBA, he doesn't even deserve a place on the bench based on that performance today!

it was non existent, but you dont understand the game, if you cant realise that was because of the midfield
