WELLENS!! Good to see him and King getting a game. I bet moore is a little disappointed but not suprised that nigel doesnt want to change things at the back.
I thought Wellens had gone back to Ipswich on Loan....shows what i know. Good To see Nigel using the squad and if all doesn't quite go to plan then that is a very strong bench!! I feel for Futacs........has impressed me when he has played but it is clear Nigel prefers Vardy for whatever reason
No, Everytime Waghorn or Vardy touch the ball Stringers just says and they miscontrols it and it goes out of play
Wellens has had his day i'm afraid...time to get rid Waghorn and Vardy aren't a patch on Wood and Nuge, i know i keep saying it but Futacs is far better than Vardy. It's as if our Nige is stubborn (hard to beleive i know), he has paid over the odds for Vardy and doesn't want to be proved wrong so is giving the lad game after game but he just can't cope at his level in my opnion. Maybe 5 changes was too many. At the end of the day we are in the draw for the 5th round and back at The KP i can't see any other result than a City win.......Knockeart must be chomping at the bit!!
Wood again . Best buy of the season maybe ? I hope you go on and win the FA Cup now that we are out .
Very candid interview with Richie Wellens just now. He certainly hasn't lost the appetite. It sounds like he's had a horrible time with injuries. He admitted he's not going to be able to get back to his best until he gets games under his belt. His time at Leicester may be limited, but he personally certainly hasn't given up. Great to hear.
commendable and professional attitude from Wellens...i would expect no less from the guy, a good pro. I just think he is so far down the pecking order at City now it is time to move on. Whether he is still Championship quality or League one only time and games will tell.
Blackburn twitter account @OneRovers: The result means our league game against Leicester City will need to be rearranged.
