Well I predicted a 3-1 win for city, and even though Gerrard has a point to prove, I'm sticking with it! TEAM NEWS Huddersfield midfielder Oscar Gobern underwent ankle surgery in the summer but may feature in the matchday squad. He could be joined by striker James Vaughan, who is expected to recover from concussion in time for the match. Cardiff will assess their four returning internationals ahead of the trip to West Yorkshire. Wales' Craig Bellamy, Scotland's David Marshall, South Korea's Kim Bo-Kyung and Iceland's Aron Gunnarsson will be involved if they are fit enough. MATCH FACTS Head-to-head • Cardiff are hoping to complete a first league double over Huddersfield in 53 years, after beating the Terriers with a 91st-minute winner from Mark Hudson in the opening day fixture at the Cardiff City Stadium in August. • Huddersfield have lost only four of the 32 home league matches against the Welsh club. • The West Yorkshire club are also four goals shy of 100 in competitive matches against Cardiff. Huddersfield Town • Huddersfield have won one of their last 14 Championship games, and have lost all six matches against the clubs holding the top four places going into the weekend. • Their last victory was 1-0 against Crystal Palace in their last home outing, which took the Terriers' unbeaten home league sequence to five. • The managerless West Yorkshire club have not won a league game this season once they have gone behind, and they have fired fewer shots on target than any other club in the division (119). Cardiff City • Runaway leaders Cardiff are unbeaten in seven league games, picking up 19 points out of 21, and are aiming for a sixth consecutive away league victory. • The Bluebirds have won an unrivalled 20 Championship games, and lost a divisional-low six. • Their 63 points after 29 games, compares to 59 points at the same stage in 1959/60 when last promoted to the top-flight (counting three points for a win).
Just a little concerned about this game, seen plenty of Cardiff v Huddersfield matches over the years and none of them I remember as being easy, I'd take a draw with 3pts being a bonus
That Jack Hunt is putting his boot in again ! Hope the travelling supporters remind him what his name is
Half time and McNuggs taken a couple of bangs - could be he won't restart. Connolly back out wide to RB and Little Ben in the middle seems the obvious reshuffle? Don't really want to see Gunnar pulled back there again to bring on the Don in the middle.
I hope by saying this, I'll be proved totally wrong. I do not see any point in putting on a 35 year old slow forward past his prime and expect him to contribute anything to this side today.
