Masky can remember back in the sixties (something), reading a report that has stuck.....it was a newspaper report on Beunley 0 Huddersfield Town 0! Stuck with Masky for no other reason than it the report started....”in a game that was as dour as the towns themselves”....not very complimentary, but Masky didn’t really know where these places were anyway! Now we go to one of these tomorrow with little hope of a result, as we are without Gary Madine....rumour has it that we are trying to arrange a loan deal with the prolific front man....who knows the outcome of that one! 4-1 City!
Well good news that neither Frank Worthington or Dick Kryswiki will be playing up front for the Terriers
Aw....Masky has just reminded himself of former Bluebird Dick Scott, Clingo, William and BT will remember him. Just read he died in 2018. Another Bluebird from back in the day gone sadly! Played back in 63-64 scoring five goals more than Gary!
Yes I do remember him. If memory serves, we got him from the Canaries. Looked a decent player to start with but went off the boil. Hope tomorrow's encounter isn't as "dour" as thre dross we turned up when we played them in the prem last season. Gone for a 0-1 on the prediction league, but my head is seeing a 0-0
A little birdie told me, you start off at a decent pace....then go off the boil Clingo! Hope I haven’t said too much already pal!
Huddersfield Town top scorer Karlan Grant should be available after missing Saturday's home win over QPR with a knock. Midfielder Alex Pritchard (knee) could feature in the squad for the first time since November, while Juninho Bacuna (dead leg) should also be available. Denis Law could be in line for a call up, to boost a flagging front line! Cardiff City boss Neil Harris could name the same XI that started Saturday's win at struggling Luton. Winger Albert Adomah made his debut in that game and should keep his place. Match facts Huddersfield have won none of their past 11 league matches against Cardiff City (D4 L7) since a 1-0 win in January 2003. Three of the past five league meetings between Huddersfield and Cardiff at the John Smith's Stadium have ended goalless. Huddersfield have scored exactly two goals in their last three league games (W2 L1). They haven't scored 2+ goals in more consecutively since February 2017 (5). Cardiff have lost just one of their past 10 league games (W3 D6) and are looking to win consecutive away league games for the first time since March 2018. Cardiff's Lee Tomlin has been directly involved in six goals in his past eight league appearances against Huddersfield (5 goals, 1 assist).
Murphy for Hoilett possibly the only change? Unless he wants to give Bacuna a start but doubt he’ll break up the Pack/ Vaulks midfield duo. Or maybe Glatzel for Paterson?
I'd play Bacuna against his brother - that would be interesting. Glatzel to start instead of Paterson would surprise me especially away against a physical side like Udders. Stearman and Schindler will need to be taken on not stood off, and Hogg is a bloody animal. Paterson will go where it hurts and could get some sympathy from the ref if he's not a homer. Middle of the park confrontation will be vital and I'd play and extra man in there (Bacuna?) at the expense of Murphy.
Referee: - Darren England, this season Derby away 1.1 - gave us a penalty QPR away He owes us one then.

Did he not give Derby a pen which some refs may have given? Anyway same team which is not that surprising
