Match Day Thread Huddersfield Town v Bristol City

A point will do for me (all 3 would be great) to stop any rot that might be creeping in since Man C game..

 

This is probably the biggest banana skin game of the season for many reasons. Firstly we are coming off a 2 game losing streak in which we failed to score and even though the match against Man City was an almost a mail-in result, it has to be in the minds of the guys. There's also the Warnock effect that has bitten us a few times in the past along with the injuries that have made us make some changes which may affect the formation and play. Let's hope we can use the problems to play in a different manner and perhaps we can get a win and three points.

 

Fully expect Warnock to play it long from 40ft high landing on our central defenders.
Surprised if King starts in central defence.

 

It’s been 4 games since we scored in open play

 

I’m surprised King is playing ahead of Weiman, I’d have thought Weiman would play in Scott’s role with Scott dropping back alongside James. James and king together are a bit old and immobile

 

If we continue to pass the ball backwards more than forward we will lose as a recent 20yd pass was immediately passed 20yd back to the original player.

 

I know it’s all about the result but quite a dreadful game

 

rare Tuesday night off only 4 people available for our project and need 6 so 40 mins gone and 0 - 0 lets go go see the Report on formation and stats ... !

 

It’s got to be said, Huddersfield are awful..

City the far better side.
Huddersfield are dreadful.

 

We are trying too hard and overplaying the ball way too often. The final ball just isn't there and we need to get better otherwise they could nab the 3 points late in the ame.

 

You just know this inability to put them away will come back to bite us.

 

Of course they are, Warnock is in charge

 

If we get one we could get a hatful, it’s the first that’ll be hard to get.

 

That was a dreadful 45 mins of football.. we’ve had our chances but powderpuff finishing letting us down..
Warnock will be fuming, not being awarded a pen after Vyner lost the ball 30 yards out allowing Huddersfield an attack and Dasilva looking to have put in a rash challenge.. I agree it should have been a pen imo.. believe we gotta away with one..
Fingers crossed we have an improvement next 45..

 

injury to Alex ... 2 mins into 2nd half ... noticed with the text of the last 3 or so games that we get a lot " delay injury to" .. but rarely the opposition!
