Not played them this season a rarity after playing them every week last season

    MANAGER

Darren Mark Moore (born 22 April 1974) is a professional football manager and former player who played as a centre-back. He is the current manager of EFL Championship club Huddersfield Town.

Born in England, he earned two international caps for Jamaica. Moore is also a member of the management committee of the Professional Footballers' Association. As a player, he represented Torquay United, Doncaster Rovers, Bradford City, Portsmouth, Derby County, Barnsley and Burton Albion. He also played for West Bromwich Albion, going on to serve as their manager between 2018 and 2019.

Darren made history by being the last player to be sent off at Deepdale on the artifical surface by leaving an imprint of Paul Raynor's head in the plastic

    CULTURE

Lawrence Batley Theatre is a theatre in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England which offers drama, music, dance and comedy.

The theatre is named after Lawrence Batley, a local entrepreneur and philanthropist, who founded a nationwide cash and carry chain.

The building was originally built in 1819 as a Methodist chapel, called the Queen Street Chapel.[1] The architect is unknown but the chief mason was Joseph Kaye, the man who was also responsible for Huddersfield station.[1][2] It was opened on 9 July 1819 and the reporter in the Leeds Mercury described it as "one of the most handsome and commodious chapels in the kingdom; being capable of accommodating 3000 persons, and has been erected at an expense of from 8 to £10,000".[3] The chapel became a mission in 1906 until a decline in numbers saw the mission move out of the building in 1970 to a new building in King Street.[4] In 1973 the building was converted into an arts centre. However serious structural problems were discovered by Kirklees Metropolitan Council in 1975 and the Arts Centre was rehoused into Venn Street Arts Centre and the building remained vacant before being sublet to Novosquash Limited and converted to a squash club known as The Ridings. It also housed a restaurant and a The Catacombs Disco.[5][6] In 1989 the Kirklees Theatre Trust was given the go ahead to save the building from deterioration and launch Huddersfield's newest theatre. Building work for the theatre started in September 1992 and took 4 years to complete.

    Who’s Available?

After missing the Norwich City match through illness, Calvin Ramsay’s health will need to be assessed ahead of Tuesday.

Milutin Osmajić will also be monitored, with his return from injury expected either at the John Smith's Stadium or for the weekend’s visit of Watford.

Long-term absentee Emil Riis may also be in contention for that game at Deepdale against the Hornets.

Huddersfield Town, who occupy 21st position in the Championship – two points above the drop zone – head into Tuesday night unbeaten in their last four.

The vastly-experienced Neil Warnock left the club in September and former Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore took over, tasked with moving the Terriers up the table.

They’ve picked up some positive results in recent weeks, most notably a 2-1 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, but the manager was left disappointed at the weekend that his side let a lead slip to draw at home to Bristol City.

    A Recent Clash

North End ran riot at the John Smith’s Stadium last August in round one of the Carabao Cup.

Huddersfield Town starting XI: Maxwell; Pearson (Edmonds-Green, 65), Helik, Lees (Nakayama, 46); Thomas, Kasumu, Hogg, Austerfield (Wiles, 46), Koroma (Headley, 46); Ward (Diarra, 61), Burgzorg. Subs not used: Nicholls, Edwards, Ayina, Iorpenda.

PNE starting XI: Woodman; Storey, Whatmough, Lindsay (Brady, 84); Potts, Whiteman, Holmes (Frøkjær, 74), Browne (Woodburn, 84), Millar (Hughes, 67); Keane (McCann, 67), Evans. Subs not used: Cornell, Cunningham, Ledson, Best.

    Attendance: 17,549 (1,176 PNE fans).

    Referee: Mr J Busby.

Well that was totally unexpected after 4 games of utter dross, we turn up and play albeit against a side who were struggling, but you still have to do the job on the pitch and fair play to them they did. Browne and Miller outstanding, Whiteman gave a masterful performance as good as he has played in months. Suspect a lot of frustration was released last night after the flak they have got in recent weeks.
Three minutes in could have been 2 up also should have had a penalty. All involving Browne, shot wide from a good position, then brought down, then headed Holmes cross past Maxwell.
Looked as we could score every time we went forward, wasn't to last and started a bit of safety first play taking the sting out of the opposition, although Woodman had to produce a save from Burgzorg.
Massive chance for Town midway through the half as usual from one of our corners, Whiteman one heroic tackle midfield before putting in an even better one to stop Koroma from shooting.
Woke us up, and we were back on the front foot and duly got the second just before the break, Miller lost his marker and took on a Town defender who made the elementary mistake of turning his back, outside of right ball into Keane first time shot passed Maxwell, cruising. The second saw some Town fans head home.
Three changes at half time for the home side, much improved for 10 minutes, pulled a goal back right away, excellent cross from Pearson, Ward nods home, game on. Hanging on for a couple of minutes before we got a grip again, started to pass the ball about and regained control, Whitemman passed the third in from outside the box having seen it this morning the phrase goalkeeping error springs to mind.
Easy after that game management to the front and three points in the bag.

Nightmare journeyy home but the M61 was closed for obvious reasons

Huddersfield manager Darren Moore told BBC Radio Leeds:

"I'm not happy - not happy with the way we started the game, not happy with the energy and obviously going a goal down in the first two minutes, you can't be happy with that.

"We made a change at half-time because we had to get some impetus back into the game. Wardy scored his goal and we're back in the game, and we had a 10-15-minute spell where it looked like we were getting back in the game and forcing Preston back.

"The disappointing thing was that on the third goal, with the shot, and trajectory of the ball, that it ended up in the back of the net, which I didn't expect to see.

"That seemed to knock the wind out of our sails, they went into a low block and we found it difficult to break them down.

"I could have made changes 20 minutes into the game."

Preston North End boss Ryan Lowe told BBC Radio Lancashire:

"The performance was different class, from start to finish. Every single individual, and collectively as a team, were fantastic. The goals were well-worked.

"That was the plan, to get right after them early doors. We knew we'd have large parts of possession, and the lads executed the team plan to a tee.

"I've always had faith that the boys could do that as they've shown it before. Some people might have doubts, and that's fine, but for what we are and what we're trying to do, it's pleasing."

Miller's drag back for the second is outrageous
