--------------------------------------------- heaton---------------------------------------------------------- -------- skuse-----------------------macmanus--------------Wilson----------Briggs--------------- -----adomah----------------------Elliot-------------------killkenny----------Anderson--- --------------------------------------------stead-------------Davies-------------------------------------- Subs Baldock Taylor Gerkin Foster Pitman Pearson I would have played Carey but he is injured for j Wilson,Skuse has played well at the back so would give him a start there.killkenny to start to try and get some link play between defence and the strikers. I hope he can put a side out that gives it 100%,sadly don't see us getting anything up there.
No Briggs? ................Heaton Foster J.Wilson McManus Briggs ............Elliott Pearson Adomah....Baldock......Anderson ..................Davies
Heaton Foster Wilson McManus Briggs Adomah Elliott Kilkenny Anderson Taylor Davies I wouldn't drop Taylor as he played well against Hull
like your team RR but you know and I know that will never happen, del has his favourites especially people in midfield, he will play pearson and foster no matter what. He will be unpredictable, play players out of position and as always leave anderson out. I personally would change taylor for Stead, i really do like taylor he wins every header but he will never really score goals or offer any goal threat. Especially with our lack of quality on the floor we need two target men to hold the ball and bring others into play.
Stead is undroppable in my eyes. His commitment to the cause is second to none, he leads by example and his off the ball play is above and beyond any other first team member.
Think he's been ****e this season, 1 goal in 11 games from a penalty says it all. Should be at least 3rd choice striker imo
Stead played well last season but compared to the other strikers hes down the pecking order. cant argue that he gives 100% but his scoring rate isnt great and his first touch is extremely poor. For me its Taylor and Davies as teh front two as they are the two that are in form. Would love to see Woolford back in the team as he was the key player in those wins, along time ago. with Woolfrod and Albert it gave us options but Id also love to see Anderson given game time.
Here are my choices from those who are definitely match fit at present so for example, it would not be sensible to start with Marvin as he has not played for three weeks with an operation during that time. Also I don't know if Kilkenny is fit - he has not played for a while. Best keeper; Heaton Best right back; Foster Best right sided centre back; James Wilson Best left sided centre back; McManus Best left back; Briggs Best right midfield; Adomah Best right centre midfield; Skuse Best left centre midfield; Reid Best left midfield; Bryan Striker; Davies Striker; Taylor Subs; Gerken, M Wilson, Elliott*, Kilkenny*,Stead, Woolford, Baldock * = if fit.
Davies is more than a handful up front on his own, another Brooker type in fact (but the next level up). Out of Ryan and Steady, I would go for Ryan and to those who say he doesn't offer much threat, watch the pre game shooting practice before the next game at AG. He is very good at smashing the ball in the net, its just a shame that we are not playing like a proper football team and offering chances for our strikers to actually get on the end of so that he pretty much always ends up with his back to goal....
Heaton Foster, MacManus, Tangle(I'm not available),Briggs. Adomah, Skuse, Elliott, Pearson. Stead, Davies.
Nah he would be too busy saying, "you don't want to do it like that, do it like this" to all the other players He often tells us we don't know what we are on about
Bobbie Reid must play sooner rather than later. He scored another two against Millwall under 21's earlier this week. And also Aaron Amadi-Holloway instead of Tanglefoot the Second. This one is even clumsier than Tanglefoot the First!
could we get away with 3- 4- 3 Heaton Foster McManus Briggs Adomah PEARSON Kilkenny/Marv Woolford Stead Taylor Davies
Looks good on here, the only thing that would worry me would be the amount of running the three at the back would have to do,and would/could the midfield work hard enough to cover the defense.
