After their impressive 2-0 win at the MK Dons in the 1st leg of the SF, looking easily the best of the four sides in the play offs. Although they lost the home leg 1-2 to a 90th minute goal they were clearly in control of the situation and doing enough to qualify for this final. 2. Jordan Rhodes is a huge advantage as he's a prolific and reliable goalscorer with 40 (!!) in all competitions this season. He's ably supported by Lee Novak (17 goals) and one or other has scored in Town's last 5 games, 3 of which they have won 'to nil' to show the defence is sound as well. 3. Sheff Utd threw away automatic promotion by failing to win in their last 3 league games and conceded in their last 6 league matches. 4. The drop-off in form followed their own leading scorer Evans being jailed and they only edged a turgid SF against a fairly toothless Stevenage only with a late winner at Bramall Lane. 5. Huddersfield have experienced play-off finals in the last two seasons, and their manager Simon Grayson also has massive and successful play off experience and that experience of both the players and the manager can be decisive. IN SUM - Huddersfield will be the more confident side on recent form and with the edge in experience as well can take this.
It'll be really funny to see Sheff Utd not go up. Huddersfield won't add much to the Championship though I don't think. I'd much rather have seen MK Dons and Stevenage in the final.
Both clubs have a lot of history behind them, especially Huddersfield. I'd like to see Town go up, as they have been there or thereabouts for the last few seasons. Besides, I'd like to see what Matt Roberts would do as a celebration at the next MotoGP.
Huddersfield have the prolific strike partnership mentioned above, whilst Sheff Utd's star striker is in jail. For this reason I expect the Terriers to go up. I also feel an affinity with them after that prolonged tussle between us, them and Peterborough for the 2nd spot behind Brighton, all those months ago (seems like another life time).
Nothing against Sheffield United, who have earned a trip back to the Championship, but I'd like to see Huddersfield win...I cannot wish another season of heartbreak upon them.
Would like to see Sheffield Utd go up. Udders' keeping up tradition of making the play offs then messing it up lol
I didn't watch the Women's FA Cup final (thank you for letting me know it's on BBC) but why are you so surprised that it was a good game and potentially better than a men's football game?
