According to Sky Sports Huddersfield have approached Leicester for Lee Peltier - Someone had better release funds to Warnock pretty soon or our season could be down the pan before it starts.

Talk from our end is that he'll be staying put after all. Not sure how accurate it is.

Agreed, I see no reason to get too excited by Peltier as he is not proven.
Lets not panic but as that what caused us to sign players like Connelly, Nunez and co.

For me Fraser Richardson or Greg Halford are better options. I can see Lees playing at right-back if we don't get someone in.

He is better than Connelly and who would you have partner Pearce if Lee's plays at RB a position I do not feel best suits Tom? Halford wouldn't bother me, Halford, Varney, Pearce and Norris would, one player short of an outfield made up entirely of ex Portsmouth players or half a team if you include Brown.

It doesn't bother me who we, myself, you or anyone else thinks of these players, it is what Warnock thinks he needs to win us promotion that matters, the players he can mould into a team of promotion chasers. If he see's Peltier as part of the jigsaw and we miss out then what next. It is okay saying we can go after someone else but it is one thing finding a player who's club are willing to sell them and another beating off the competition. Leicester, Hull, Ipswich, Forest, Watford and Huddersfield all have money to spend, not to mention teams that came down with parachute payments.

I am hoping he impresses and we get both him and Peltier. If we can and then tie down White things will look a whole lot healthier at the back. Drury and White battling for LB and Peltier and Cranie for RB although Cranie spent the majority of last season at CB so it would give us options.

You could have 2 players on the bench and 4 playing, with Peltier, Cranie, White, Lees, Pearce and Drury it would effectively give all back four positions decent cover. We have to remember Warnock needs to build us a squad capable of covering two matches a week, suspensions and injuries.

Was a good prospect lost his way a little bit, but would hope he could find the form he had as an u21 player, pelts is not all that, and it looks like we have had the bid accepted for the reindeer guy, according to Norwegian journos !!!!!!!!! its all good ;)

Is that as in a question or you don't? I certainly don't, I believe he has a bad influence behind the scenes.

I'm curious. Whats he been getting up to, Ristac? I haven't heard this. Only heard speculation that he was part of the fallout surrounding AOB.

Don't think he's particularly good anyway, as it happens, but he can put a fairly reliable shift in now & again. If money's tight & we can't get rid, I wouldn't be too unhappy about him being a backup.

I don't know any more than you WJ but there were a few times we were short both with SG and NW and they chose to ignore Connelly. SG comments towards him and the AOB saga and like you say, he isn't good enough
