"It would be a bit unjust if we don't manage second place. This is definitely a Championship winning run we are on. You can't help but look at the table but we can't keep thinking about what Peterborough and Southampton, with their games in hand, are going to do. It's all about us." So Huddersfield Town's Scott Arfield believes it'd be unfair if they don't go up because they're unbeaten in 19 games. Let's look at the facts: Brighton's last 19: W: 15, D: 2, L: 2 = 47 points. Huddersfield's last 19: W: 11, D: 8, L: 0 = 41 points. Southampton's last 19: W: 13, D: 4, L: 2 = 43 points. So, tell me again, why do Huddersfield deserve to go up? No point being unbeaten if you gain less points than your opponents in those matches!
Ironic as Saints used to be the draw specialist. I don't mind the odd loss if we follow up with a run of wins. At the end of the day, he's talking to his own audience, so let's not get too excited.
Can I officially request you ensure the twats stay in that league for at least another season. Cheers Saints.
I just read that and find it laughable to be honest, that's like saying we deserve to go up because we beat huddersfield 4 - 1,where do these footballers get there brains? whoever finishes 2nd deserves to be 2nd it's as simple as that as nige would say.
Not really, maybe if they had won 16 of those games but the table don't lie,if we win today and they don't we'd go above them so then surely we deserve it.You only deserve it if you get it.
I have a feeling someone may be talking from his heart, not his head to be honest. 19 games with out defeat is no mean feat. For them it is a pity that nearly half are draws. You obviously deserve it if and only when it is guaranteed you have got the promotion.
Anyone want to guess who their last defeat was against? Maybe that is why they do not deserve to be second.
The pressures on them now if we pick up at least 4 points at Rochdale and v Brizzle Rovers. It's Charlton v Huddersfield last night , and although Charlton were pants against us last week , you can't help but think that could be a potential banana sing if the home side play with a 'nothing to lose' attitude.
What's a banana sing? some kind of new karaoke? I agree though, pressure all on them and it might not even matter what they do now, all in our hands and ours to lose! In Nigel we trust
To be fair, we didn't like it when NA was criticised for talking up Saints. 19 Games unbeaten is a hell of a run and what he means is that usually that would get you promoted. We are in the driving seat (of the bus) now and we won't let it go. Games are running out for our opponents and we still have 2 games in hand. Rochdale, here we come.
