Hmmmmm. I would say its nonsense as its the sun but they were the first to report our interest in Pilkington and hey, what do you know! Also we've agreed a fee is a bit more than were interested on howson. I know his contract is up at the end of the season and I think would be a great addition to the side if true.

Leeds fan in peace! I hope it's not true as he is the rock in our squad, never seems to be doing much on the pitch but when he is missing it all falls apart. His contract ends in the summer ad he is currently injured but there hasnt been anything said on a return date so it could be bull and he just doesn't want to play for the club anymore as it makes a little more sense now. Ill be gutted if he does leave!

wasn't pilkington out with a long term injury when we signed him? he's a very good player, totally fits the lambert mould. £2m seems quite a lot for a player out of contract in the summer, but having said that, there will be bigger clubs than us after him in the summer, so maybe its a case of pay a fee now - its still a modest fee compared to his ability - and gazump our rivals. probably not true as its the sun but is the sort of player i expected lambert to go for. also rumours of a bid being lodged for jay rodriguez of burnley, around the £4.5m mark. both are merely rumours as it stands...

As a Hull City fan I always slagged Howson off to the Leeds fans on this board and claimed he was severely over rated. At the end of the day it was a poor attempt to get a rise out of them because they knew(as I did) it was bollocks. From what I've seen of him he's is a very good player and could go onto full international honours. I like Norwich as a place and a team and hope you have a long stay in the PL, with Lambert at the helm that looks a fair bet. Good luck for the rest of the season and thanks for taking one of our rivals best players.
