Howson wants to prove NCFC can progress without PL

Just read this article and I have to agree that I'm sure we'll be fine again this season despite what the bookies and certain Koo Pee Arr fans are saying. I see no reason why we can't push on from where we were last season, though I think to finish 12th is asking a bit too much. CH has hinted that there may be a couple of more new faces in the next few weeks - I just hope that one of them isn't Woodgate from Stoke!!!!

As for Howson, I was really pleased with this. Came across as a bit of a pledge of allegiance as well, with the 'Lambert wants Howson' rumours always flying around!

 

YEah great to hear, also heard in interview with Hughton that he has decided on captaincy. Think it's going to be either Holt or Howson, probably Holt.

And no chance of Woodgate coming, he went Middlesborough last week.

 

Does seem to indicate that although there have been rumours that PL wants him at Villa, he'd rather stay and further his career at CR.

I see no reason to change the captaincy, as GH performed admirably last season.

As regards Woodgate

 

I listened to the interview and I must admit it sounded a bit muddled to me. Shouldn't expect a lot else from footballers I suppose. I daresay he meant to say that he is 100% behind CH but it was more about Lambert.
Maybe I interpreted it wrong.

 

What we need more than anything is a steady start to the season with say 4 points formt he first two games.
