Official: Johnny Howson will be captain of Leeds Utd this season. No word as yet of vice captain, but I would suggest Paddy Kisnorbo must be a strong possibility.

He was the only option really
Fits the captain mould well and plays better with the armband

Players like Paddy and Brown will be communicating and marshalling whether they have the armband or not. Howson however is the kind of player who always plays better when he's captain, leads by example. Right choice IMO.

The only real choice. Last season he thrived as captain, and Kisnorbo/Brown will be leaders on the pitch anyway. Tbh, the captaincy is often over hyped, because some players will always be leaders regardless. Hopefully he'll be captain for years to come.

Anyone who saw Howson play on Sunday would agree that if he plays anything like that in the League this year, he will more than justify his role as skipper. He dictated everything. He was immense.
