    Hope they do it.

    I'd last about 10 minutes.

More cripple. Screwed knees, arthritis, shin splints...

Still look sexy though. Even with the zimmer frame.

    Shin splints! Hate them!

Have them as well. Having them treated now with something called mesotherapy once a week.

Do you by any chance have flat feet as that was the reason behind my shin splints.

On topic : Hope they can do it , can't imagine how difficult it will be! Wish them the best of luck!

    Same.

Although when I play on grass I don't feel it. Only when I play on a hard surface do I suffer. Suffer badly!

I play indoor 5-a-side, wooden floors, got it tonight actually. It feels like my shins have been whacked with a hammer 10 times, on a monday I play on that soft artificial turf, not as bad but still hurts. What is the treatment that you get like?

It's called mesotherapy. Basically it's multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications (wiki)

About 5 injections on each shin followed by laser treatment for about 5 minutes.

This is to speed it up , but you should get yourself checked to see if you have flat feet as that could be the reason you get shin splints. You can solve that by getting doctor prescribed insoles that are especially designed for people who have flat feet.

I'd give it a go, but if the team is anything like the one I play with, I'd never get the ball because my striking partner thinks he's ****ing Messi

For shin splints go to Foot Locker and get protective insoles. A team mate of mine suffers from shin splints but the insoles help him play without pain.

****...I was just organising doing this, only thought of it about 2 weeks ago so still very early on...40 hours it will be then...or the record for 5 a side is 34 hours...maybe I'll go for that one. (You are allowed 5 mins break every 1 hour for water and food)

Insane! Reminds me of a guy who did it in one of those old deep sea diver suits and it took him 6 days, but 26 days is just .. crazy! He even slept in there, what a legend.
