Yesterday Steve Howard was linked with Sheffield Wednesday for 300K. We was linked to Marlon King and today we are being linked with Keiren Westwood. I would take Westwood as he is a proven goalkeeper at this level and he wouldnt cost us anything plus it will annoy that little club down the m69. I wouldnt want King because 1 i thing we can get better (Yakubu and Kamara prove that) and 2 his reputation is not something i want at my club. I would sell Steve Howard because 300K is good money for him and he wont offer much to the team now with Sven he will be buying probaly 2 or 3 strikers in the summer with probaly Howard off and maybe although i dont want him to leave Waghorn may leave. What do people think. Would you keep Howard and would you sign Westwood http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/news/coventry-keeper-target/article-3497632-detail/article.html
If Westwood is looking for Premeirship, i guess its upto him to choose to work for it or not. I dont think King will solve any problems, and will prob cause more tbh. And i really hope Steve all the best if that does happen, he will do well there i feel.
Today we are being linked with a 3M bid for Nicky Maynard. He would be a great signing except for the injuries. If we sign him and Yak for next season Maynard, Yakubu, Waghorn, Vassell would do nicely
Marlon King was the chavs only threat when we played them at the Walkers - That said he has got a poor disciplinary record and there is that little matter of his misogynistic violent outbursts which really do show the mark of the man - That said, do I need to like the man? I want our footballers for their skill not their attitude to social responsibility and it would irk our 6 fingered cousins up the M69. He comes or he doesn't - I won't cry either way. Westwood? If he's so good why are the chavs so ****? Only kidding - We need a 1st team keeper and he may well fit the bill - Of course leaving the chavs gnashing their teeth in rage at a) losing him and b) losing him to us - It's a bit like your missus leaving you and taking up with the bloke down the road that you hate
