Do I get rid of Yahoo on my laptop? It's suddenly become my default browser, uninvited. I was using Firefox. Anyone?
I am just a country boy, Money have I none, But I've got silver in the stars And gold in the morning sun, Gold in the morning sun. Jack Hargreaves, life after How.
...many roads must a man walk down Before you call him a man? ...many seas must a white dove sail Before she sleeps in the sand? ...many times must the cannon balls fly Before they're forever banned? ...many years can a mountain exist Before it's washed to the sea? ...many years can some people exist Before they're allowed to be free? ...many times can a man turn his head Pretending he just doesn't see? ...many times must a man look up Before he can see the sky? ...many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry? ...many deaths will it take till he knows That too many people have died?
Had the same thing happen - worked for me too ...... I WAS gonna give you the same advice you gave me when my g'daughter got my screen skew-wiffed, but that'd be a ****s trick .............. ARF!
Yahoo usually pops up if you have used a website that has adverts that alter your settings. Just head to the settings, delete it and set google or whatever you need as your default.
Doesn't AVG constantly try to change your homepage to Yahoo? I think that's right. Certainly it pops up every so often offering to 'optimise' your browser settings and not only that but it has a checkbox which is ticked by default saying 'Always auto-accept these changes in future' so with one click you can unknowingly give it permission to piss about with your homepage and default search forever.
normally on that box that pops up, if you look carefully there is a little tick that you can un-check which says something like "please remind me of this in the future"
