North London piss-heads will be aware that the famous "Black Boy" Pub in Tottenham changed it's name a while ago. Being a retired piss-head myself, I only found this out the other day. Was a bit gutted, had many lost nights in there.

Mind you, it did get a bit embarrassing asking African minicab drivers to drop you off there.

 

There is a pub in Putney called, "The Arab Boy"

 

I believe that was quite a common name for pubs over a hundred years ago, I found a trading token bearing the name:

Yeah, I think the name's actually a reference to chimney sweeps. There was a picture of one on the Sign.
