Cast your minds back 7 months or so. We were all exited with the way our squad was progressing. 4 world cup stars and an Argentine international fullback, the Egyptian Beckham, a new loanee defender from City. How many of us would have guessed that 2 of those world cup stars, and the Argentinian would fail to make the team. How many of us would have predicted that Phil Bardsley would be so far ahead in the player of the season stakes. How many of us supporters (experts) howled there disgust at the thought of Danny Welbeck being a replacement for Kenwyn Jones. Would anyone swap Welbeck to get Kenny back now? This season has been good, and we could still make 6th place if we beat Liverpool at home (I,m not saying we will but we could). It makes you realise how difficult it must be to manage a club. So lets get behind Brucey and his squad and roar them on. Upwards & Onwards

Start of season..

Bardsley no good.........................sell
Anton no good............................sell
Reid OK......................................keep
Steed, cant last..........................back up then sell
Bramble.....................................big mistake
Welbeck....................................no better than Waggy
Turner.......................................carthorse
Da Silva & Mensah.......................first choice
Cattermole.................................thug who cant play
Richardson..................................LB at best but could just be back up
Jones........................................must keep
Bent..........................................irraplaceable

I'm sure there are more I got wrong

You forgot "Sack Bruce" Syd and we may as well get shot of Quinn while we're on, he's done nothing for us.

I don't think we should give up on the South Americans just yet. SB has said himself that he kept some of the South Americans he signed for Wigan under wraps for a year and I am sure many of their supporters thought the same as we are now. So maybe it is a case of wait and see.

Yeah, they must be slow learners I reckon. Riveros looked mint at the World Cup and all he's done is keep the bench warm. With all the injuries we've had this was a great chance for him to grab a place in the team but it just hasn't happenned. If they are still around next season they will all have to buck up their ideas - or ship out

Good post billpev, kind of sobering

Think that you may have a point here Lever, only time will tell though

Agree on the South Americans.
