Truth is obvious, we have no idea, then again do we.

Two cracking reads today say a lot about this time being very, very different.

Quinn's interview and how one reason for him going, he knew he could hand over to MON.

MON's story about Roker Park and a manager who is very different.

Both link up to me, both say that a new era is with us, yes I know results and performances have told us that and has Cest said in a thread, even last weeks capitulation was different.

The two things that stand out with Quinn and O'Neill is their genuine love for our club, our club really is their club and a loss tomorrow will really hiurt both of them just like it hurts us.

Now we know that commitment, passion and desire does not mean a win but we also know that it does mean that we will not lose, Newcastle have to win, will they, not long now.

As the saying goes 'a new brush sweeps clean'..Our record against 'them' under Bruce was shocking...Let's hope that things go the other way under MON..

Know Idea how we'll do tomorrow Syd but for once in an age I'm not going into the game with the usual trepidation, I even think we might be able to get something from it. Under MON we have a manager who I think understands the club.

Win, lose or draw, just as long as we actually compete.
