We've already played Aston Villa both times this season, but providing they are still in the Prem next season, how do you think the majority of fans will react whenever Bent touches the ball? Straight off, I think heavy BOO's, but...deep down I know he was a top signing and did well for the club during his spell here...
I won't boo Bent. He did a great job for us, he left in a sad and messy way, but he's not in the class of Gyan, he hasn't got the alround game of 8 years younger Welbeck (who will nick his England shirt within a year imo), and Campbell offers more as a team player. He knew by the time we sign Gignac() he was finished here, so he took the money and ran. He'll get a polite applause from me, then we'll all sit and talk amongst ourselves about how ****e he is and how we're better off without him, and cheer every scuff!
Quick change of subject, BB. I've read that Gignac's not available for the next week or so. Apparently, he 's off on holiday to Antigua. Funny that. Wonder who with?
I hate the way in which he left and the reasons why he left but the man was very instrumental in keeping us in the EPL last season, i think he deserves a decent round of applause.
I will boo Bent when he returns to the SOL, he did keep us in the Premier League last year but I don't appreciate the way in which he left the club, showing total lack of respect for a club that helped to resurrect his career.
totally agree with you pal, i hate him for leaving us in the lurch...anyone who claims to love this club, yet leaves to go anywhere else can not claim allegiance to our beautiful City
It is the underhand way in which he left which left a sick feeling in my stomach, so I will give him some stick when he plays at the SoL.

I do not like mercenaries e.g. Mr Bent. He deserves all the stick he will get. Dr_SAFC what are supposed fans?
Anyone who doesn't think he will get booed and called Judas is being very naive. He will get loads of stick and deservedly so! We have had numerous players leave our club who have had warm welcomes on returning to Sunderland. Judas will not be one of them.
I'm sure he will get boo-ed, but not by me. The lad did a brilliant job for us while he was here. Now he's not here? - he did a brilliant job for us, end of. I think a lot of this spite shows just how much we loved the guy. Go ahead and boo him. Enjoy your moment. But I can't help feeling it's wrong.
I'm in the booers camp. Bent gave 100%, was an excellent player, and will be very, very difficult to replace. Yet he allowed himself to be tapped up, left leaving us in the ****, and is motivated by only one thing: € $ ã So like other Judases at other clubs, he will get abuse, and he'll deserve it. Lots of players have left SAFC and not had grudges held against them. SKP said he was going to leave as our relegation became certain. Julio said he wasn't going to put up with staying with us for a second Second Divison spell. No-one blamed them. They made reasonable decisions, told the Club in advance, and didn't take the piss. But Bent did.
