If you wish. If we go down, though it's still more likely to not happen than to do so (fill your boots at 5/2 if you really fancy it), then things would potentially be quite bleak. If Fernandes left then he'd make a massive loss on his investment though he's not the one pumping in the serious cash and would probably be best served to stick with it and give the club a chance to get back up with a view to making something long term. If we did go into admin and a serious decline then it would be nothing new, and really not the massive disaster some would make out. It's not like we rely on thousands of gloryhunters as we are. If it went even further and the club actually went bust then I guess I'll support AFC QPR in the Combined Counties league or Ryman Division 8 or wherever it starts. It's like me asking what would happen if Chelsea finished fifth. The answer is probably not very much but, in theory, Abramovich could leave, the players could revolt, the club could start a long period of near terminal decline, crowds could drop to what they once were, Winston Bogarde might buy the club for a quid and sell the stadium. All highly unlikely.
I'm sorry but from what I've seen, you deserve to go down. To have the talent that you possess and not have a win in 8 games is shocking and I would be worried if I were a QPR fan...
Some might. It's happened before. What clauses would be activated aren't known, but I'd imagine most of those capable of attracting interest from a Prem club would prefer to leave even for a small wage decrease, once you take a probable wage decrease resulting from relegation into account. Parachute payments would help too of course- Blackburn are paying players upwards of £40k a week still. Again, however, bookies suggest it has a 28.6% chance of happening which might seem odd given the position the club is in but Hughes' tendency to start slowly and finish strongly, a team improving (albeit slowly) and an on paper kinder run of games to come suggest the glory of 17th is still quite manageable, especially given how poor a lot of teams look.
They will cope in a similar fashion to Portsmouth...................all out total melt-down. With so many over 30's on massive contracts, you've just got to hope for their sakes they have the relevant clauses put in. But I doubt Marky Mark worries about that.
Life would go on, we'd still support the club no matter where they ended up. How many gloryhunting chavs could say the same
A better question is why is that **** Northolt still being allowed to post on this Chelsea board?? Come on Mods, pull your ****ing fingers out and get shot of the **** once and for all!
Well it's a good thing the season doesn't finish in October. The comment in bold was based on bookmakers' odds, dictated by money staked, rather than the performances of any of the teams down the bottom, many of whom have been very poor.
On a lighter note, I think QPR will be relegated because they have no goals in a weak front line and a defense with more holes in than Christine Keelers fishnet stockings.
Oh looks it's boring **** Ranger number 2 Here's a tip, don't post pointless mundane articles and they won't get locked.
I woudn't like it either if my club was going to get relegated. It's okay though mate, theres always Fulham!
