Can we get a piece of wood the width of the pitch and strap it to the back 4s' waists, so they keep a straight line ????

Not one reply . So everyone's happy with the way our back 4 is going?.
Not blaming Brana, not blaming Luiz, not blaming Cahill ( well not as much ) definitely blaming Cole.
Without JT, this is it folks. Best we can muster ( though I'd shoot Cole out the door and use Bertrand). Cole is a whinging, arrogant past it, egomaniac, and that's putting it mildly.
Cahill caused Brana and Luiz plenty of problems against Napoli because he ran around like a chook with its' head off. They need to play more together. So PLEASE don't start to call for Luiz or Cahill or Brana to get the flick. Cole is fine, by all means call for him to get the flick. AVB has already made that decision.
Surely someone has an opinion ???

CP--The back four does not seem to equal the sum of its parts! In truth a back four of Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry and dare I say it Cole-could and should be regarded as one of the most impenetrable in world football! BUT IT AINT!!!!! Why? -I dont know-except it has to be part of this reported-change of playing style/rebellion against AVB!

To be honest the post seemed to indicate a problem playing the off side trap which i didn;t think was the problem, more individual errors and a failure in midfield to protect the back 4 better.

Actually the offside trap wasn't really my thinking, it was more that when either Brana or Cole goes forwards, the opposition sent players down the side where the gaps were. Then their quick forwards would dart in field and attack our goal through the centre. Because B and C didn't get back quickly enough , no one filled in, and Luiz and Cahill were often scrambling. You may well be right, it just needs a good Def. mid fielder to cover them. personally I think we should try 4-4 2, so the outside mids can drop back temporarily to defend the hole Brana and Cole leave. Anyway, just a thought, more from frustration than logic.
