I was just looking at a list of our past managers. If we can look beyond the personal ethics of the manager, whoever chooses the boss has not done a bad job in recent years. The discussions on the sacking of Ray Lewington were very heated at the time, if I remember rightly. Since then we've had: Aidy Boothroyd - got us into the Premier League Brendan Rodgers - got Swansea into the Premier League Malky Mackay - doing well with Cardiff and could get them into the Premier League Sean Dyche - too soon to tell but shows signs of being good. How many other clubs can claim such a good track record in recent years?
Not sure that it can change once created - maybe a mod can close this thread and let you create another? Just been reading about your latest earthquake NZ - hope you suffered no damage.
It doesn't appear to have appeared on the Cardiff board, so i shouldn't worry. We have done incredibly well considering all 4 were rookie managers and in their first full posts, which could have backfired in a bad way. Has all exceeded my expectations as I must admit to having been furious at the club at the way they treated Ray Lewington. I hope that SD. turns out to be the best of the 4 - there are signs already. Aidy remains the enigma of the other 3, the only one of them who I wish success to in the future - maybe he can turn Northampton around and save his career in the process, hope so.
NZ, you can have it closed, or i can ask for it to be just on our board, a senior mod can do that...or you can leave it coz it seems fine
