    It's ****ing terrible, what other political establishment is beyond reasonable criticism in the western world. A Bishop says that these Royal weddings are a big load of **** and half the population probably agree = grovelling apology for daring to say something negative about the monarchy.

    Depends on whether the clergy actually believe that the Queen as head of the church is god's representitive on earth, I doubt many believe in divine monarchy anymore. Anyway the bishop is clearly a British Republican and as such should be able to air political views about a political establishment they don't agree with.
