Do you think saints will slip up at these mid-week away games?? Go the hard way through the play-offs?? Or is it automatic all the way??

Hey guys, updating after Walsall game. Now where do you think we will finish??

2nd place I reckon, only a few points behind Brighton. We've got a decent away form, just need to get more clinical and kill teams off. If we beat Bournemouth and Brighton, the table will look quite different and we're certainly capable of beating both.

I did the predictor on BBC (just for our results) and came up with 81 points. Whether this will be enough I don't know, but the current top two are not on course to do much better than this (people think Brighton are untouchable but a couple of favourable results either way will bring them right back in reach - they're on less than two points a game following Sat's defeat).

I think it will be a lower than average points tally for 2nd place this season and I think 81 could well be enough. I think Bournemouth are starting to have to really dig out results now and think they will fall away as Swindon did last season. Huddersfield are the main threat for me, and are playing strongly - their 2-2 with Leyton Orient will have been frustrating for them but it's not a bad result.

A long winning streak for anyone down to 7th could steal it though - MK Dons proved they are no mugs with a 1-0 win vs Brighton but I think most teams are lacking any real consistency - it's definitely going to the wire and I hope we get the top 2 - fear it will be Brighton and Huddersfield - playoffs us, Charlton, Peterborough and Bournemouth. The good news is I fancy us against all of them, especially over two legs, and probably even more so at Old Trafford!

It's generally thought that a team worthy of auto-promotion should be averaging two points a game. Since no team in the league is achieving this so far, it's probably more likely that the teams above us will drop points. I wouldn't be surprised if Bournemouth's form drops soon, and we could be 2nd by the time we have played our games in hand.

Saints will be in the top two, no doubt, we will win plenty of games the only team that will stop us winning the league is brighton although a few bad results and we will topple them :)

If either of the teams in the top two falter the nerves they will be showing and feeling could scupper their plans. Cherries have the advantage of having gone through the fight for promotion last season and the knowledge of having achieved it. May be harder this time round and I am quite confident that both of the top two will falter soon.
