Leicester manager Nigel Pearson in 'foul-mouthed spat' with FAN following Liverpool defeat please log in to view this image Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has revealed he had an altercation with a supporter following the Foxes' 3-1 defeat to Liverpool. The loss stretched their winless run to nine Premier League games, seven of which have ended in defeat, and Pearson wants the fans to stick with the team. In an interview with BT Sport after the game, he announced he had a 'spat' with a fan in the stands, while walking down from his vantage point in the ground. A number of supporters took to Twitter to suggest the Foxes boss swore at a woman and a group of other fans. Pearson said: "I had a spat with a fan towards the end. I don't know what they are looking at at times. "If they cannot see the players are having a proper go maybe they need to stay at home. "The players are giving everything. I will always look for the positives. It is very easy for people to look at what we are not good at. "I don't like the commitment of my players being questioned. If they honestly think they are not committed, they are very wrong. Maybe that is why I stay in the stand." BT Sport pundits Robbie Savage, Michael Owen and Steve McManaman all agreed that the Leicester supporters hadn't been as raucous as usual inside the King Power. Savage said: "He's spot on. The fans need to stick with them. The supporters here are knowledgeable, so I'm surprised one of them had a go at him." Owen agreed: "It's hard to put into words how it helps when you have a real vociferous crowd behind you. It drives you on." McManaman concurred: "When I've watched Leicester on the television this season, the atmosphere has sounded great. I didn't feel that today. "It didn't feel intimdating. As the game went on it seemed to get quieter and quieter." http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/leicester-manager-nigel-pearson-foul-mouthed-4736779
" I will always look for the positives. It is very easy for people to look at what we are not good at." Surely it's what they are not good at that needs looking at, so it can be improved upon. The thick ****er
I always felt a time would come when Leicester would have a poor run of results and Pearson would go into siege-mode like he used to with us. If their poor form continues and with the added pressure from the increase in media attention I see a bit of an implosion up ahead.
I think it's pretty clear that since promotion he's been a dead man walking. It's the same as DQPR with Warnock, they hire a manager to do a specific job then go for someone a bit more glamorous once he's done it. A shoddy practice in my eyes. Lets have a list of who they might go for, I'm thinking a BIG foreign name and will kick us off with Capello.
How many outbursts is this from blockhead since winning promotion? 3? 4? He's just not cut out for the spotlight of the premier league. And beautiful to watch with us all in no doubt he'd crack, and knowing some actully paid to take that sack of **** off our hands.
I'm not a particular fan of Pearson and of course I don't know what was said, but if he's just having a go back at some 'fan' who is abusing him, then I say good luck to him. Be honest, who thought that other 'fan' didn't really deserve a kicking from Cantona, and who secretly thought Hazard was right to bundle the ballboy off the ball.... We've all heard some of the more vitriolic stuff 'fans' come out with when they're disappointed, why should anyone have to put up with it?
To be fair I watch the game and Lesta gave it a good go, and there wasn't a lot been the sides until the sending off.
Perhaps reporters should yell at him from the stands, maybe then they would finally get a proper interview from him.
Leicester fans were being berated on talk sport today for turning up with half n half scarves en masse.
