If they phone me up on the fixed line, I normally just say 'Hang on 2 seconds', lay the receiver down beside the phone then continue to watch TV or whatever I was doing. An hour or so later, I go back and hang the phone up. This is only practical if you're an anti-social bastard like me who only expects to get the occasional genuine call at home.
