Did anyone just watch this on Channel 4?
Quite an important dispatches programme on illegal buying and selling of football clubs.
Gave Bryan Robson and Alex Fergie a bad name.
Sheffield Utd, Leicester, Cardiff, Derby, Oxford, Crystal Palace were some of the clubs named.
The clubs them selves weren't the ones getting in trouble, but the buyers etc...

I don't know exactly what happened, but it was quite big, and I think a lot of people could get into some trouble now.

Try and catch it if you can on 4+ or on the internet.

    Methinks heads will roll...

On a side note, sad to see Robson involved in this. Thought he was better than that...

I caught this yesterday and as RhysJ1 mentions, alot of people should, but probably wont, get in alot of trouble for this.

It just made me feel proud of the way our Football Club is run, and when we stay up and the whole of the premier league has crumbled financially around us I for one will be thanking the board very, very much.

I hope DaiSwan saw it!! Huw isnt so bad when compared to that bunch of charlatans exposed in that program. (Not that I doubted him ever, he for me has been a top class chairman since day one)

Try and catch it 4oD player on computer or if you have sky+ etc. 'Dispatches - How to buy a football club'

My thoughts exactly, apetswan. All the clubs under rich foreign ownership are on an unavoidable journey to (maybe) boom and bust. Without genuine care and love for the club itself, the decisions made by those at the top of each club will never be made for the correct reasons, i.e. to ensure sustainability, and help preserve the club and sport for future generations.

Observing the way that things are run at Swansea City is taking a glimpse into the future of the sport, and I for one think that the future can only be bright for us.

Dispatches is a very good investigative series which has covered a lot of unscrupulous dealings.
Last night`s programme did`nt surprise me at all. Bryan Robson was shown in his true colours and Alex Ferguson, well say no more. Yet again, it`s the fans who will pay the ultimate price for these money-grabbing vultures. It was sad seeing the Portsmouth fans protesting at their owners, or lack of owners.

Let`s be grateful that the Swans are not following this greasy, slimeball way towards Armageddon.

Will anything be done about it? On previous form by the football authorities, not very likely, especially when FIFA themselves have their mucky arms stuck in the golden fleece.

It sounds interesting I'm going to try and watch it when I'm at my parents house in Bryncoch because I don't have a cat in hells chance of watching anything on the internet here in St Davids.

Did anyone see the program on Panorama about the guy who "bought" Notts County? That was an interesting insight into how easy it is to mess around with a football club.
