Besty is doing in 7 games what that tall lazy excuse of a footballer Ameobi has done in 10 years or so.
And it will absolutely baffle me if Ameobi is picked infront of Ranger let alone Besty it will be an absolute crime by pardew.
I rip every bit of my hair whenever I see Ameobis name in the line up, total waste of space and to all those who think the jury is still out on besty should watch the game at bolton ran hinslef to the ground for the cause, something ameobi will never do, he did what was needed by a striker only didn’t score which to be fair is the most important of the lot.
But the lad has been handed a chance and is thriving at that.

    Totally agree with this.

Love Besty at the minute, he's doing brilliantly. So impressed with him at Bolton, just think he needs to improving his finishing a little bit as he could easily be banging them in every single game!
Still a big fan of Shola though, can't not still love him! But I'd definitely play Besty ahead of Shola if it came down to it.

No way does Shola walk back into the team, Pardew must agree though, he was saying Ben Arfa doesnt even get straight back in.

Exactly. Best should start unless Shola proves himself over Besty, it's the only plausible answer.

One day I really want to be able to say "Ranger should be first choice to start". Alas, I can only hope that day comes soon. Love the guy.

Agree with Smudger. Also agree with whoever thinks we should sell him. He's getting older and his lack of pace and technical ability just encourages our team to play ''hoofball'' IMO. Lover and Best have bought a much more watchable and very decent style of play to our team(more passing, looking to get in behind, etc..).

Best and Ranger to start at the weekend IMO

  7. Best and Lovenkrands partnership is the best up front. It's not about who's your best strikers, it's about which two are most effective together, and Lover and Best are a great partnership.

I personally keep them both over Shola.

Lovenkrands was absolutely useless on Saturday, contributed nothing.

Best and Shola don't really work well together so gotta agree with Tash, keep Lover and Best together for now. Shola could prove to be a 'game changer' like Ranger.

Agree ^ Think Shola could be useful as a impact sub(See Wigan game this season at St.James Park).

Ranger hasnt had enough time to develop a partnership, but he always looks awesome when he comes on. Now he's had one in the back of the net, surely it can't be long til he puts one there that counts

Best and Lovers my fav partnership at the mo. For me Ranger is best at running tired defenders ragged and Ameobi has the biggest ariel prescence although to be honest Best has suprised us all with his strength in the air

    totally agree
however a little part of me believes Best and Ameobi would actually end up making a decent partnership...I dont know why but I can just see it happening

It does annoy me when i see this, because the only game where I've seen Ranger be given a chance against from start (or near) was against Fulham, and it is very harsh to judge on that performance!

He has looked quality when coming on, and only real problem is occasionally he and Besty getting in each other's way (which would improve with paying time together!).

Next match i would like to see us really go for it, with Cahill and Fellaini out they dont really have much of an aerial threat. I thik we should go for one of these (formation porn alert!):

    Harps
    Simmo - Tayls - Colo - Jose
    Barton/Ireland - Tiote - Nolan - Jonas
    Best - Ranger

    or

    Harps
    Tayls - Willow - Colo
    Simmo - Bartoon - Tiote - Nolan - Jose
    Best - Ranger

Then we have Jonas to come on and run at the tired defence, which i think he would make more of an impact than Ranger has!<ok>
